Job summary

JioSaavn is seeking a Senior Product Analyst, based in Navi Mumbai (Ghansoli), India, to drive data-led decisions for core product features. You will partner with Product, Data Engineering and Business teams to define requirements, track metrics, and influence roadmap priorities.

The role requires strong SQL/Hive, Python, and analytics tooling experience, plus the ability to translate data into actionable insights and compelling reports for stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 3-4 years of experience in a high growth analytics team for a consumer-facing product.
• Proficient in writing optimized SQL/Hive queries and familiar with Big Data infra.
• Strong scripting knowledge in Python and ability to translate data to insights.

Responsibilities

• Define metrics, drive roadmaps, and uncover opportunities to improve the product and data capture across platforms.
• Gather and prioritise product and business requirements; work with Product managers, data engineers and business teams.
• Author user stories and refine requirements with feature teams to deliver on business goals.
• Use statistical methods to test hypotheses for AB tests and perform analytical deep-dives from disparate data sources.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Defining metrics, drive roadmaps, and uncover opportunities to improve the JioSaavn product and its features and ensure accuracy of data capture strategy across all platforms.
• Responsible for gathering and prioritising product and business requirements, defining the product vision, and working closely with Product managers, data engineers and business teams for delivering product strategies and goals.
• Author user stories, work with aligned feature teams ; Pods to refine requirements, define success criteria, design solutions, and drive change required to deliver on business goals.
• Use statistical methods to generate and test hypotheses for AB tests. This includes performing analytical deep-dives to identify problems, opportunities and actions required. Is proficient at collecting, processing, and cleaning data from disparate sources using SQL, R, Python, or other scripting and statistical tools.
• Identify areas for efficiency across data domains, such as the elimination of duplicate data or buggy data from different platforms.
• Providing assistance to the Product Team with data analysis and guiding the product decisions based on insights from data validation & A/B Test results.
• Willing to take ownership of the product on both strategic and tactical fronts.
• Documenting and speaking clearly, the complex ideas & findings.

REQUIREMENTS:

• 3-4 years of experience of working in a high growth analytics team for a consumer-facing product
• Adept in writing optimised SQL/Hive Query & knowledge about Big Data infrastructure will be an advantage in working with the Data Product / Engg. team
• Strong hold in scripting languages like Python
• Be great in translating data to insights, and publishing reports with relevant visualisations
• Proficiency in web/product analytics tools like Google analytics, Amplitude, web analytics etc.
• Sound understanding of statistical/predictive modelling and segmentation techniques
• The candidate must exhibit a thorough understanding of data structures, data manipulation,
• metadata, data security, and data quality management
• Strong communication/interpersonal skills along with an eye for detail
