Job summary

NVIDIA in Bangalore, India is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Autonomous Driving Software team and contribute to customer engagements and platform integration in the automotive domain.

You will adapt the NVIDIA AV Software platform for customer ECUs, debug across user and kernel space, and help deliver high-quality releases. Strong C/C++ skills, Linux/QNX experience, and 8+ years in automotive/embedded software are expected.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in engineering or CS with 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Working experience with ADAS or autonomous driving software stack, platform SW components, middleware & sensors.
• Proficient debugging from application to kernel level on embedded hardware.
• Good working knowledge of Linux and QNX and experience with device drivers.
• Excellent programming skills in C, C++ and understanding of build systems (Bazel).
• Good written and verbal interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

What you'll be doing:

• Support adaptation of NVIDIA AV Software platform to the customer ECU, Vehicle environment.
• Regularly engage with customer teams to productize workflows for platform integration
• Analyse, debug, fix bugs in the SW platform components to deliver high quality SW releases to customers
• Enhance integration efficiency to facilitate low latency development on Autonomous Vehicle Simulation & Car platforms
• Contribute to platform software development, tools, filesystem customization, and software integration

What we need to see:

• BS or MS degree from a leading university, or equivalent experience, in an engineering or computer science related discipline with 8+ years of relevant working experience
• Working experience with ADAS or autonomous driving software stack, particularly platform SW components, middleware & sensors
• Proficient debugging skills from application to kernel level on embedded hardware
• Good working knowledge of Linux and QNX and experience with device drivers
• Excellent programming skills in C, C++ and understanding of build systems (like Bazel)
• Good written and verbal interpersonal skills - concisely articulate knowledge and ideas

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

• Experience in functional development, adaptation and testing of automotive software based on various sensors (e.g. camera, radar, lidar, GPS, ultrasound etc.)
• Experience developing software in heterogeneous architectures, including GPUs and other types of accelerators
• Good knowledge of process standards like ASPICE & ISO26262.
• Self-motivated and work effectively across different international functional organizations
