Padink Engineering seeks an experienced piping designer to spearhead 3D plant modeling with AVEVA E3D for metals & mining projects. You will develop layouts, routing strategies, and ensure constructability and safety compliance.
Responsibilities include catalog/spec management, GA drawings and MTO accuracy, plus coordinating with civil, structural, electrical, and process teams. Senior-level leadership and QA are expected throughout project cycles.
Spearhead complex 3D plant modeling using AVEVA E3D for large-scale metals and mining projects (e.g., concentrator plants, crushing/grinding areas, hydrometallurgical plants, tailings disposal systems, and slurry pumping stations).
Develop optimal plot plans, equipment layouts, and pipe routing strategies adhering strictly to safety, operability, and constructability principles.
Set up, customize, and manage E3D project catalogs, specifications (Specs), and pipe support databases tailored to project requirements and international standards.
Drawing & Deliverable Production:
Oversee and review the generation of accurate Piping General Arrangement (GA) drawings, sections, elevations, and construction-ready piping isometrics out of E3D / ISODRAFT.
Ensure high quality and accuracy of Piping Material Take-Offs (MTOs) and bulk material estimations.
Inter-Disciplinary & Multi-Office Coordination:
Translate complex Process & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) into physical 3D routing configurations.
Collaborate seamlessly with civil, structural, electrical, and process engineering teams.
Utilize AVEVA Review / Navisworks for comprehensive clash detection sessions, design reviews, and model health checks.
Coordinate closely with pipe stress engineers to integrate critical spring, guide, and anchor support designs.
Team Leadership & Quality Assurance:
Mentor, guide, and review the work of junior and mid-level piping designers.
Ensure all engineering designs comply with relevant international codes and standards (e.g., ASME B31.1, B31.3, ISO) as well as client-specific specifications.
Lead 30%, 60%, and 90% model review audits with clients and internal stakeholders.
