Job summary

Luxoft in Bengaluru, India, seeks an experienced Performance Testing Engineer to drive end-to-end performance testing for our global banking client modernization project. You will design, implement, and run load tests using LoadRunner and JMeter, and collaborate with DevOps to integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines.

The role requires 7+ years of hands-on performance engineering, strong Java skills, and proficiency with OpenShift, Kubernetes, and monitoring dashboards.

Qualifications

• 7+ years full-time Performance Testing and Engineering experience.
• Hands-on experience in Java programming for performance testing/tools.
• Experience in end-to-end performance testing, analysis, and tuning.
• Proficient with LoadRunner and JMeter for load testing.
• Experience with OpenShift/Kubernetes/microservices.
• DevOps tooling experience: Jenkins, Azure DevOps, CI/CD integration.

Responsibilities

The Migration Project for our Global Banking Client is an internal enterprise-wide infrastructure and application modernization initiative. The project primarily focuses on upgrading, refactoring, and migrating business-critical legacy applications to updated backend frameworks and reliable data center configurations.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with other engineers to develop testing and monitoring approaches
• Focuses on assurance in the areas of error rates, response times, and impact to infrastructure
• Designs, scripts, configures, and run performance tests to validate production readiness of software applications and infrastructure for stability and performance
• Conditions test data as needed to properly simulate test scenarios
• Supports testing needs of new projects, infrastructure upgrades, and application enhancements by validating application functionality against documented test cases
• Diagnoses, tracks, and manages performance issues to resolutionUses dashboards that enable efficient monitoring of applications and systems running in production environments to troubleshoot issues and report findings
• Provides summaries and assessments of the applications performance, emphasizing trends over time
• Conducts deep dive analysis of data when trends or anomalies are identified
• Collaborates with AD teams during story design to ensure new application features are developed in a performant manner.

SKILLS

Must have

• 7+ years full time Performance Testing and Engineering experience
• Hands-on experience in Java programming - should be able to create custom apps/tools for performance testing and monitoring
• Strong experience in implementing end to end performance testing/engineering solutions - requirement gathering, test planning, test execution and monitoring, result reporting/analysis/tuning.
• Strong hands-on experience in following load test tools - LoadRunner, JMeter and
• Strong experience in Openshift/Kubernetes/microservices
• Hands-on experience in DevOps tools like Jenkins, Azure DevOps (ADO) etc., including writing pipelines and integrating performance tests into CI/CD workflows

Nice to have

• Experience in container (Docker, Podman) and container orchestration (Kubernetes) platform
• Exposure to Generative AI and knowledge/experience in implementing relevant AI solutions for Performance Engineering
