Job summary

Version 1 seeks a seasoned PeopleSoft Administrator to design, install, upgrade and patch PeopleSoft environments including PeopleTools, Mid-Tier, and OpenSearch. You will work with Oracle and SQL Server databases and use PeopleTools, DPKs, YAML, and automation tools.

The role involves leading PS Admin teams on larger projects, planning upgrades and migrations to production, monitoring performance, and ensuring reliable backups. UK business hours with occasional EST shifts.

Qualifications

• Experience in installation, troubleshooting and maintenance of PeopleSoft Infra (PIA).
• Strong knowledge of PeopleTools and Application DPKs; Linux/Windows servers.
• Experience with Oracle and SQL Server databases; upgrade planning.

Responsibilities

• Design, install, upgrade and patch PeopleSoft environments including PeopleTools and Mid-Tier.
• Lead PS Admin team on larger projects with clearly defined work packages.
• Plan PeopleTools upgrade and PUM upgrade activities; support migrations to Production.
• Monitor performance, handle outages, and manage backups and DR scripts.

Job DescriptionYou will be working with a range of technical experts as well as with knowledge leaders from the business, giving you exposure to an industry sector embracing innovation and evolution.

You Will Be Responsible For

• You’ll have responsibility for the design, installation, upgrade and patchingofPeopleSoft environmentsincluding PeopleTools components, Mid-Tier components, OpenSearch and have a working knowledge of Oracle and SQL Server Databases.
• You will be competent in the use of PeopleTools and Application DPKs, the use of customisation YAML and the use of automation to build, update and patch PeopleTools infrastructure. Experience with shell scripting and Puppet will be expected and the use of orchestration tools like RunDeck, Jenkins and Ansible highly desirable.
• You will be required to work alone on smaller projects and to lead a team of PS Admins on larger projects ensuring work packages are clearly defined, planned, quality assured and interfacing with the Project Manager.
• You will have responsibility for planning and executing PeopleTools upgrade and Application PUM upgrade activities.
• You will Support Technical teams to migrate code and configuration to Production using App Designer, CA,
• Trouble shooting performance issues across the PeopleSoft system
• You will be responsible PeopleSoft Quarterly Patching for customer systems and expected to lead on innovations to improve deployments.
• Maintain PeopleSoft environments troubleshooting fixing all server / application related issues.
• Very good understanding of PeopleSoft Admin technical architecture.
• Drive PUM upgrade activities.
• Should work with Functional and Technical team members effectively.
• Help Technical team to migrate the approved code to Production.
• Planning environment availability for end users.
• Ability to perform post refresh activity on non-production environments.
• Monitor Production Schedule Jobs.
• Trouble shooting performance issues with PS processes and reports.
• Oracle DB installations, Database backup and recovery.
• Database Refresh/cloning.
• PeopleSoft Quarterly Patching
• Oracle DB patching, Maintenance Monitoring (Performance Monitoring and Tuning).
• Create and execute backup/restore and disaster recovery strategy and scripts for databases in specified environment.
• Provide database administration consulting services, including Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server.
• Effective Communication / Reporting to end users and Team members.
• Ready to work in shifts mainly in UK business hours but also EST.

Qualifications

• Application Administration and PeopleTools.
• Experience in installation, troubleshooting and maintenance of PeopleSoft Internet Architecture components including App Servers, Process Schedulers, and Web logic Servers on LINUX as well as Windows.
• High-level skills in PeopleTools v854 and higher and with Integration Broker.
• Expert ability with administering Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server databases.
• Have minimum of five years PeopleSoft infrastructure experience.
• Comprehensive understanding of the PeopleSoft Internet Architecture (PIA).
• Experience with PeopleSoft 9.x (or above).
• Expert ability with all technical areas of PeopleSoft and/or PS Admin.
• Expert ability in all DBA areas (Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle).
• Demonstrated follow-through on assignments and issue resolution.
