Job summary

JSW GBS is seeking a Senior Manager Payroll to lead end-to-end payroll operations for India JSW Group Entities, ensuring accurate, compliant, and timely processing while driving standardization, automation, governance, and superior employee experience across multiple entities.

This strategic leadership role oversees statutory compliance, vendor governance, continuous improvement initiatives, and building a high-performing payroll team to deliver 100% on-time payroll and zero penalties.

Qualifications

• MBA or Master's degree in HR/Finance is required.
• B.Com or M.Com is required.
• CA qualification is required.
• Additional qualification in Payroll, Taxation, Labour Laws or Finance is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end payroll processing for multiple legal entities in India.
• Ensure 100% accurate and timely payroll processing.
• Manage payroll calendars and governance.
• Review payroll inputs (new joins, exits, promotions, etc.) and ensure accuracy.
• Drive standardization, automation and first-time-right payroll processing.
• Provide timely payroll MIS and stakeholder reports.

Role Purpose

The Senior Manager Payroll will lead the end-to-end delivery of payroll operations for India JSW Group Entities. The incumbent will ensure accurate, compliant, and timely payroll processing while driving standardization, automation, governance, process excellence, and superior employee experience across multiple business entities.

This is a strategic managerial role responsible for leading payroll operations, statutory compliance, stakeholder management, vendor governance, continuous improvement initiatives, and building a high-performing payroll team.

Key Responsibilities

Payroll Operations

• Lead end-to-end payroll processing for multiple legal entities across India.
• Ensure 100% accurate and timely payroll processing.
• Manage monthly payroll calendars and payroll governance.
• Review payroll inputs including new joiners, exits, promotions, transfers, incentives, bonuses, arrears, reimbursements, and recoveries.
• Ensure payroll accuracy through maker-checker controls.
• Drive payroll standardization across businesses.

Required Qualifications

• MBA (HR/Finance) or Master's Degree

Experience

• 10-12 years of Payroll experience.
• Minimum 5 years in a managerial role.
• Experience in Captive Shared Services / Shared Service Centre is mandatory.
• Experience handling large employee populations across multiple entities.
