We are seeking an experiencedSenior Oracle DBA to manage and optimize mission‑critical Oracle database environments. This role involvesinstallation, configuration, performance tuning, security, and high availability across on‑premises and cloud platforms. You will ensure database reliability, scalability, and compliance while collaborating with cross‑functional teams.

Responsibilities
  • Install, configure, patch, and upgrade Oracle databases (11g–19c) in development, test, and production environments.
  • Monitor and optimize database performance, troubleshoot bottlenecks (I/O, memory, CPU, network), and tune SQL/PLSQL queries.
  • Implement and maintain backup/recovery strategies using RMAN, and conduct disaster recovery drills to meet RTO/RPO targets.
  • Configure and manage Oracle RAC, Data Guard, and high‑availability solutions.
  • Ensure database security through TDE encryption, auditing, and compliance with GDPR/HIPAA.
  • Collaborate with DevOps, CloudOps, and application teams for database design, provisioning, and CI/CD integration.
  • Maintain documentation, standards, and provide mentorship to junior DBAs.
  • Participate in 24/7 on‑call rotation for critical incident response.
Skills and Experience
  • Demonstrated mastery in Oracle DBA roles, showcasing exceptional technical expertise, innovative problem‑solving, and proven capabilities. We value a progressive approach that prioritizes skills and accomplishments over rigid tenure requirements, while typically expecting 6–10 years of relevant experience.
  • Expertise in Oracle versions 11g, 12c, 18c, 19c.
  • Strong skills in SQL/PLSQL tuning, index/partition management, and database parameter optimization.
  • Proficiency in RMAN, performance tuning tools, and Oracle security best practices.
  • Experience in high‑availability, multi‑site production environments.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, OCI) and on‑premises infrastructure.
  • Exceptional problem‑solving prowess, meticulous documentation skills, and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts with clarity, recognizing that talent emerges through diverse experiences and continuous learning.

Preferred / Nice to Have

  • Exposure to DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automation tools (Terraform, Kubernetes, Docker).
  • Experience with monitoring tools (New Relic, SolarWinds).
  • Knowledge of SaaS architecture and containerization.

Shift and Availability

  • Initial Phase: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM IST (for at least the first 5 months)
  • On‑Call Support: May require working/availability in various time zones to provide any on‑call support
  • Regular Shift: 9:30 AM – 6:30 PM IST
