Overview

Key Responsibilities

Administration and support of Oracle Database (primarily 19c), including performance monitoring, tuning, patching, upgrades, CPU/PSU installation, database cloning.
Installation and configuration of Oracle RDBMS software across development, testing, and production environments.
Troubleshooting database-related issues and working with Oracle Support when necessary.

Requirements

7+ years of IT experience, with at least 5+ years specifically in Oracle Database administration, configuration, and troubleshooting.
Deep understanding of backup, restore, and recovery strategies.
Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with Developers, QA engineers, and Oracle Support.
Solid scripting skills (Bash is required; Python is a plus).
Strong working knowledge in using AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Copilot, etc.).
Good spoken and written communication skills in English.

Nice to Have

Experience with Oracle GoldenGate or other replication tools.
Familiarity with document-oriented databases (e.g., MongoDB/PerconaDB).
Ability to read and write scripts in Python.
Basic experience or understanding of Ansible for automation and infrastructure provisioning.
