Job summary

Buxton Consulting is seeking a Sr. Oracle EBS / Applications DBA to support Oracle Apps DBA and MS SQL Server environments. Location options include Remote or Hyderabad (Hybrid), India.

Immediate start for a candidate with 8+ years of relevant experience in Oracle EBS R12.2.x, OCI, RAC, Data Guard, RMAN, and SQL Server administration. Strong communication and a proactive, collaborative attitude are essential.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience in Oracle Core DBA Administration, including Oracle RAC, Data Guard, and RMAN.
• Solid experience with Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) R12.2.x administration and support.
• OCI experience mandatory: Compute, Storage, Networking and Database services; Cloud migrations and DR.
• MS SQL Server DBA experience with administration, performance tuning, backup/recovery, and troubleshooting.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills; proactive attitude.

Job Description:

Mandatory Skills:

• Strong hands-on experience in Oracle Core DBA Administration, including:

• Strong Microsoft SQL Server DBA experience, including administration, performance tuning, backup/recovery, and troubleshooting.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with Oracle Exadata administration and performance optimization.
• Knowledge of automation and scripting (Shell, Python, Ansible, etc.).
• Exposure to high-availability and disaster recovery architectures.

Emerging Technology Skills:

• Knowledge or hands-on experience with AI-driven database administration, database automation, AI-assisted monitoring, performance optimization, or implementation of AI solutions within database environments is highly desirable.
