Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field with a strong foundation in data and AI.
• 7+ years of hands-on experience in ontology engineering, knowledge modeling, or semantic technologies.
• Proven track record delivering enterprise knowledge graphs and governance frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end ontology lifecycle—architecture, design, governance, deployment, and stewardship of enterprise ontologies, taxonomies, and vocabularies.
• Define and drive knowledge graph strategy and integration across data/analytics/search/AI ecosystems, establishing modeling standards and governance.

Accenture is looking for a Senior Ontologist / Knowledge Architecture Lead to lead the design, governance, and delivery of enterprise knowledge graph initiatives. This is a leadership role for a seasoned professional with deep expertise in semantic technologies, ontology engineering, and knowledge architecture, combined with the ability to drive alignment across business, data, and AI teams

Key Responsibilities

Lead the end-to-end ontology lifecycle, including architecture, design, governance, deployment, and long-term stewardship of enterprise ontologies, taxonomies, and vocabularies.

Drive knowledge graph strategy and integration across data, analytics, search, and AI/ML ecosystems, establishing modeling standards and governance frameworks using Semantic Web technologies.

What We're Looking For

Strong expertise in semantic technologies including OWL 2, RDF/RDFS, SKOS, SHACL, SPARQL, with deep understanding of Semantic Web and linked data principles.

Proven experience designing and governing enterprise ontologies and knowledge graphs using platforms such as GraphDB, Stardog, Neo4j, while collaborating with NLP, Data Engineering, and AI/ML teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in Ontology Engineering, Knowledge Modeling, or Semantic Technologies
• Bachelor's, Master's in a related field.
