Job summary

Stantec in Pune, India seeks a Civil/Environmental Engineer specializing in wastewater network modelling to contribute to projects and client deliveries. You will implement hydraulic models, build and verify networks, and support project managers to meet timelines and quality standards.

The role requires master’s in civil/environmental engineering, deep knowledge of InfoWorks WS Pro, InfoWater, Bentley WaterGems, and DHI MIKE Urban+.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in civil/environmental engineering.
• Expert in hydraulic modelling and hydraulic design, solution modelling, DMA, Pressure Management, Network Analysis.
• Expert in hydraulic modelling software: InfoWorks WS Pro, InfoWater, Synergy, Bentley WaterGems and DHI MIKE Urban+ preferred.

Responsibilities

• Hydraulic modelling, model build and verification.
• Optioneering & Outline Design of hydraulic solutions.
• Development Impact Assessment.
• Preparation of technical reports / drawings.
• Working with GIS databases and handling large data sets for analysis.

Primary Purpose Of Job

Contribute to the ongoing growth of Stantec ResourceNet Private India Ltd by providing technical expertise in specialist areas of wastewater network modelling. To be involved in the implementation and delivery of leading edge programmes and projects.

Support project managers/team leader by providing technical expertise to ensure that project outcomes in terms of profit, schedule, technical and quality standards, meet both the client and Stantec expectations.

Person Specifications

• Master's degree in civil/ Environmental Engineering
• Expert in hydraulic modelling, Hydraulic design, solution modelling, DMA, Pressure Management, Network Analysis
• Expert in hydraulic modelling software, InfoWorks WS Pro, InfoWater, Synergy, Bentley WaterGems and DHI MIKE Urban+ preferred
• Optimisation tools
• Scripting: Python, SQL, Visual Basic, advanced Excel
• Have excellent data manipulation abilities (FME/POWERBI/MS Access database type packages)
• Good skills in GIS packages: MapInfo, ArcGIS preferred and Drawing Support
• Expert in Technical report writing skills
• Good level of client service management, i.e. able to interface with clients and to build and maintain lasting, positive relationships with our Clients
