Job summary

Transaction Network Services (TNS) in India is seeking an experienced Network Engineer to join the Global Network Infrastructure Engineering Department. You will oversee system-wide components and lead projects, driving delivery for the IP backbone network.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of design and operations experience in large scale multiprotocol global IP/ISP networks.
• 5+ years of experience and expert in TCP/IP and routing protocols (RSVP, LDP, BGP, ISIS, OSPF, PIM, BFD, and FRst Reroute technologies)
• 3+ years of experience with architecture and provisioning of MPLS networks and services including Traffic Engineering, Carrier Ethernet, MPLS L2 and L3 VPNs, VPLS, Circuit Emulation, IPSec, VPNs, IP Multicast, and QOS/COS
• 5+ years of experience in layer-2 Ethernet technologies
• 3+ years working knowledge of Data Center design and operation
• Expertise in current industry WAN technologies/products (SONET, SDH, TDM, Metro Ethernet, etc.)
• 5+ years of extensive hands-on experience with the configuration, debugging, and problem resolution of complex Cisco and/or Juniper based networks
• Experienced with command-line interfaces, and skilled in effective use of various network monitoring and analysis tools such as SolarWinds, SPLUNK, and similar tools

Responsibilities

• Delivery of Ethernet based services, as defined by the Metro Ethernet Forum
• Routing protocol design and support (BGP, ISIS, EIGRP, OSPF, PIM)
• WAN/LAN topology design and support

• Load Balancer design and support
• Vendor/hardware assessment and recommendations
• Equipment/Design specifications in support of budgetary planning
• Identify issues and recommend appropriate action/resolution
• Provide guidance to other team members, Facilities processes & transfer technical skills knowledge
• Consult for other projects

Overview

TNS has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Network Engineer! This role reports in to our Global Network Infrastructure Engineering Department and will be involved in system-wide complex components and/or complex projects. You will provide direction for entire projects or a project team.
