Job summary

AHEAD in Gurugram, India is seeking a Sr. Network Engineer to provide L3 network support across enterprise infrastructure, security, routing, switching, wireless, and connectivity environments.

The role focuses on resolving complex incidents, supporting network changes, and maintaining reliable and secure network operations. The ideal candidate has 10+ years of hands-on experience with FortiGate, Cisco FTD, FMC, and strong expertise in Cisco routing and switching, VLANs, OSPF, BGP, and STP, plus

• 10+ years of hands-on experience in network engineering and enterprise network operations.
• Strong experience with FortiGate Firewall and Cisco Firepower Threat Defense (FTD).
• Practical experience with Cisco Firewall Management Center (FMC).
• Strong knowledge of Cisco routing and switching.
• Expertise in VLANs, OSPF, BGP, and STP.
• Experience supporting and troubleshooting enterprise wireless networks.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across DHCP, DNS, NAT, VPN, and network connectivity.
• Experience with network monitoring, incident management, and change management processes.
• Strong analytical, communication, documentation, and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide L3 troubleshooting and resolution for complex network and firewall incidents.
• Manage and support FortiGate Firewall and Cisco Firepower Threat Defense (FTD) environments using FMC.
• Design, configure, and troubleshoot Cisco routing and switching environments (VLANs, OSPF, BGP, STP).
• Support enterprise wireless networks and resolve performance, connectivity, and authentication issues.
• Troubleshoot DHCP, DNS, NAT, VPN, and end-to-end network connectivity issues.
• Participate in network monitoring, incident management, problem management, and change management activities.
• Perform root-cause analysis, document resolutions, and recommend preventive actions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, vendors, and stakeholders to restore services and deliver network changes.
• Maintain accurate network documentation, operational procedures, and knowledge articles.
