Job summary

Citigroup Inc. is seeking an Apps Dev Intermediate Programmer Analyst to support Citi applications and drive stability across platforms. You will work with C#, .NET Core, Angular, REST APIs, and related technologies to deliver scalable solutions.

You will participate in releases, collaborate with traders and internal technology teams, and mentor junior analysts while maintaining technical documentation and adhering to compliance guidelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a technical field.
• 6+ years of experience in developing & managing applications.
• Strong knowledge of C#, .NET and Angular with RESTful API experience.
• Experience with Microservices, EF Core, and asynchronous programming.
• Proficient in logging, DI patterns and testing frameworks.
• Familiar with Kafka, HTML/CSS/JSON and web technologies.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and business support for Citi Applications, driving stability and efficiency.
• Act as liaison between users, traders, and internal tech groups; coach junior analysts.
• Participate in releases from development to production; maintain technical docs.
• Manage and support applications, ensuring uptime and compliance with SLAs.

• You have 6+ years of experience in developing & managing applications.


• You are expert in logical thinking and coding.


• You are expert in C#, .NET, .NET Core 2+, Angular 16+, SQL, Python
  C#: Advanced knowledge in object-oriented programming, LINQ, and asynchronous programming.


• .NET Framework & .NET Core (2+): Strong experience in building scalable, high-performance applications.


• ASP.NET Core: Expertise in developing RESTful APIs, middleware, and dependency injection.


• Entity Framework Core: Proficient in database-first and code-first approaches for data access.


• Microservices Architecture: Strong understanding of designing and implementing microservices using .NET Core.


• Windows Services: Experience in creating and managing background services.


• Unit Testing: Proficient in testing frameworks like xUnit, NUnit, and Moq for .NET applications.


• Dependency Injection: Expertise in implementing DI patterns for loosely coupled architecture.


• Logging: Experience with Serilog, NLog, and Microsoft.Extensions.Logging for application monitoring.


• You have strong experience in Rest API, Kafka/Messaging queue
  You have strong experience in JQuery, JSON, HTML and CSS


• You have experience in installing, configuring or supporting business applications


• You have experience working with Efficiency Tools JIRA, Bitbucket, uDeploy


• You have exposure to ECS, CICD Pipelines


• You have exposure to AI tools & agents


• You have exposure to BigData/Hadoop


• You possess advanced execution capabilities and ability to adjust quickly to changes, especially in prioritization


• You have excellent writing and communication skills, with a knack for taking technical language and making it comprehensible

On a typical day here is what you could do -

• You will provide technical and business support for users of Citi Applications. This includes providing quick resolutions to app issues, driving stability, efficiency and effectiveness improvements to help us and the business succeed.


• You will act as a liaison between users/traders, interfacing internal technology groups and vendors and as an advisor or coach to new or junior analysts.


• You will participate in application releases, from development, testing and deployment into production. Perform post release checkouts after application releases and infrastructure updates. Develop and maintain technical documentation.


• You will maintain application systems that have completed the development stage and are running in the daily operations of the firm.


• You will manage, maintain and support applications and their operating environments, focusing on stability, quality and functionality against service level expectations.


• You will assist in appropriately assessing risks when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal
