About the Role

Our client's engineering team is hiring a backend software engineer to build and maintain the systems that support the business and its partners. You'll work in a .NET stack on Azure, shaping secure, durable systems for mission- and revenue-critical customer-facing applications.

This is a remote contract role based in India. It suits someone who cares about design, architecture, and building software that can adapt as the business changes.

Responsibilities

Architect and develop applications, workflows, and prototypes that meet business needs

Build reusable, enterprise-grade frameworks with security and scalability in mind, with a preference for configurability over customization

Refactor and extend the existing codebase to address defects and add new functionality

Turn functional requirements into technical specifications, and document key architectural decisions

Create complete test plans and maintain strong code coverage with a test-driven mindset

Resolve defects across QA, pre-production, production, and post-release cycles

Work cross-functionally with internal and external stakeholders to move engineering efforts forward

Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, Master's is a plus
