Position Overview

Seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to lead end-to-end machine development, from concept design, 3D modeling, and detailed engineering drawings to prototyping, assembly, testing, and commissioning. The ideal candidate will independently deliver complete machine designs and collaborate closely with PLC, electrical, and automation teams.

Key Responsibilities

Machine Design & Engineering

1. Develop complete machine concepts, custom mechanisms, and SPM designs.
2. Create accurate 3D CAD models and production-ready 2D drawings using SolidWorks (preferred) and AutoCAD.
3. Perform fundamental mechanical calculations (stress, load, torque, deflection, life cycle).
4. Select materials, bearings, shafts, motion components, and other key mechanical elements.

Engineering Drawings & Documentation

1. Prepare detailed manufacturing drawings with GD&T, fit/tolerance specifications, and stack‑up analysis.
2. Generate assembly drawings, BOM/BOQ, exploded views, and technical documentation for fabrication and assembly.

Quality, Standards & Compliance

1. Ensure designs meet engineering, reliability, and safety standards.
2. Maintain complete project documentation.

Required Skills & Technical Expertise (Mandatory)

1. Strong proficiency in SolidWorks (preferred), AutoCAD.
2. Minimum 5+ years end-to-end machine design & building.
3. Mechanism design: cams, gears, linkages, linear guides, drive systems.
4. Sheet metal, fabrication, welding, machining design.
5. Mandatory hands‑on experience in pneumatics, hydraulics, servo systems/motion control.
6. Strong understanding of bearings, shafts, couplings, guides.
7. GD&T, fits, tolerances.
8. Experience in SPM, robotics, or custom automation machinery.
9. Basic FEA knowledge (advantage).
