Demonstrated ability to operate independently with accountability, delivering what is needed to achieve stated outcomes in a results‑oriented environment with minimal supervision
Ability to frame problems clearly, move between strategic thinking and hands‑on execution, stay connected to the core problem throughout the design process, and measure impact over time
Ability to break down complex design problems into the right size and sequence, and connect the work to broader user journeys, organizational context, and cross‑functional systems
Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to use storytelling to explain design rationale clearly, influence decisions and product direction, facilitate alignment through workshops, and adapt the message for different audiences
Comfort leveraging a broad range of research methodologies, insights, and data to inform design decisions and optimize outcomes
An entrepreneurial mindset, with curiosity for experimentation and a focus on delivering, learning, and creating enterprise value
Openness to evolving tools and processes, including AI‑enabled ways of working, along with interest in stretch assignments that support personal and professional growth
Comfort working in complex, regulated environments where user needs, business goals, operational constraints, and technical dependencies must all be balanced
Proactive attention to accessibility and inclusive design across complex interactions
