Senior Manager - Technology Transfer and Management

Overview

To lead the South-South technology transfer initiatives of Development Alternatives Group for climate change mitigation and improved resource efficiency in India and across the world

Responsibilities

• Work with in-house and external research teams to translate ideas and expertise into projects that make a verifiable difference to commercial businesses (external and internal) through technology licensing and support in building materials and technologies, cementitious materials, industrial wastes and related areas.
• Identify commercial strategies for transferring technologies to industry in India and abroad, including supporting proof-of-concept activities and marketing to potential end-users
• Negotiate licensing contracts, technology transfer fees, royalties, etc., in conjunction with legal experts
• Apply for patents, copyrights and registered trademarks to protect in-house technology development
• Ensure technology transfer activities support the generation of research impact by in-house research teams
• Liaise with universities, institutes and organizations for sourcing and development of technologies through research partnerships and collaborative projects
• Monitor research opportunities and donor trends, and support teams in creating new businesses
• Build a network of professional business contacts – clients, consultant companies and individual experts to identify potential partnerships
• Project management including planning, monitoring, reporting, writing, research and documentation; responsible for overall quality of project delivery
• Manage the project team to ensure seamless and high-quality delivery
• Network with national and international organizations in the sustainable development arena to increase visibility of Group work and open new business opportunities

Qualifications

Desired Qualification: Post graduate / Doctorate in Engineering/ Science/ Management
