Job summary

GE HealthCare in Bengaluru seeks a Senior Manager – Systems & Verification Engineering to lead Systems and Verification & Validation for CVUS digital products across on-premises, cloud and hybrid environments. You will own integration, verification planning and automation to improve quality and release predictability.

You will build and mentor a high-performing team, partner with software, architecture, product and clinical teams, and drive automation-first verification aligned with regulatory

Qualifications

• 15+ years of progressive experience in software-intensive product development, systems engineering, verification and validation.
• 5+ years of functional engineering leadership experience, including people management and performance management.
• Proven experience leading Systems Engineering and/or V&V teams for complex digital products.
• Demonstrated experience defining test automation strategies and implementing scalable automation frameworks.
• Strong knowledge of software development lifecycle, system architecture, APIs, distributed systems, CI/CD and automated testing.
• Experience testing complex products across on-premises, cloud and hybrid environments.
• Strong leadership and stakeholder-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the CVUS Digital Systems and V&V organization in Bengaluru.
• Own system requirements, interfaces, workflows, integration strategy, system behaviour and verification approach.
• Develop and execute system V&V strategies for on-premises, cloud and hybrid digital products.
• Define and evolve scalable test automation frameworks, tools and infrastructure for continuous, regression and release testing.
• Increase automation across API, integration, workflow, system, performance and end-to-end product testing.
• Ensure requirements traceability from customer and system needs through verification evidence and release readiness.
• Own system-level verification planning, execution, defect management, risk-based testing and quality assessment.
• Partner with Software Engineering, Architecture, Product Management and Clinical teams to build testability and quality into product design.
• Establish metrics for automation coverage, test effectiveness, defect leakage, regression health and release readiness.
• Partner with Quality, Regulatory and Cybersecurity teams to ensure verification evidence supports design controls, risk management and regulatory expectations.
• Build, hire, coach and retain strong Systems and V&V talent; own workforce planning, performance management, competency development and succession.
• Collaborate with global CVUS teams and communicate system quality, verification status, risks and release readiness to engineering leadership.

Educational Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering or a related engineering discipline.

Required Qualifications

• 15+ years of progressive experience in software-intensive product development, systems engineering, verification and validation or related disciplines.
• 5+ years of functional engineering leadership experience, including people management, talent development, performance management and organizational capability building.
• Proven experience leading Systems Engineering and/or V&V teams for complex digital products.
• Demonstrated experience defining test automation strategies and implementing scalable automation frameworks.
• Strong experience in system requirements, interfaces, integration, verification planning, traceability, defect management and release-readiness assessment.
• Experience testing complex products across on-premises, cloud and/or hybrid environments.
• Strong knowledge of software development lifecycle, system architecture, APIs, distributed systems, CI/CD and automated testing.
• Proven ability to build teams, develop technical talent and drive execution in a global matrix organization.
• Strong leadership, communication, stakeholder-management and problem-solving skills.

Desired Qualifications

• Experience with medical-device, healthcare or other regulated digital products.
• Knowledge of healthcare interoperability standards including DICOM, HL7 and FHIR.
• Experience with Azure, AWS or GCP and cloud-based system verification.
• Experience integrating automated verification into CI/CD and DevOps/DevSecOps pipelines.
• Knowledge of IEC 62304, ISO 14971, IEC 62366-1, design controls and risk-based verification.
• Experience modernizing manual V&V organizations towards an automation-first verification model.
• Demonstrated success improving product quality and release predictability using engineering metrics, root-cause analysis and continuous improvement.

• Cloud-native and hybrid cloud/on-premises product development using AWS services.
• Containers, Kubernetes, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code and production observability.
• Secure engineering, identity and access management, encryption, secrets management and DevSecOps.
• Performance, scalability, availability, reliability, fault tolerance and disaster recovery.
• Automated unit, integration, API, system, performance and reliability testing.
• Strong design, coding, debugging, root-cause analysis and technical documentation practices.
• Integration challenges of third party and second party SaaS solutions.
• Working with AI-DLC and software development acceleration.

Healthcare and Medical Device Context

• Experience in regulated healthcare or medical-device development is required for the Verification Lead and strongly preferred for senior architecture, automation and program roles.
• Strong knowledge on SDLC, PRD process, Risks, FMEAs.
• Awareness of patient-data privacy, cybersecurity and secure handling of clinical information.
• Knowledge of healthcare interoperability standards such as DICOM, HL7 and FHIR.
• Experience with real-time clinical data, device connectivity, patient monitoring or high-availability clinical applications is advantageous.
