Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Manager Medical Coding Operations with at least 11+ years of experience in the medical coding business. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of Surgery Medical Coding guidelines, and coding techniques including ICD-10 and CPT. A strong foundation in Anatomy & Physiology, Advanced Medical Terminology, Pharmacology, and Psychology is essential. Proficiency in MS Office and excellent communication and interpersonal skills are a must.

Key Responsibilities

1. Coding Transition & Delivery Management: Manage coding transitions and oversee delivery for outsourcing partners and hospital groups in the US.
2. Training & Leadership: Provide coding training and guidance for the team, utilizing strong leadership skills to manage and mentor coders.
3. Client Management: Understand client needs and exceed expectations in both productivity and quality.
4. Project Transition: Lead the transition of new projects across various specialties.
5. Decision Making: Demonstrate effective decision‑making skills with minimal supervision.
6. Research & Analytics: Utilize strong analytical skills to solve complex coding issues through research.
7. Training & Mentoring: Act as a mentor to enhance coders' skills and ensure project success.
8. Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with higher management to meet organizational goals.
9. Coding Guidelines: Develop and document coding guidelines based on federal and payer sources (CMS, Medicare, Commercial Payers) and client updates.
10. Client Interaction: Lead client discussions regarding coding production deliverables and quality assurance.

Necessary Qualifications
