Job summary

NVIDIA seeks a Senior Manager, Software Engineering to lead an engineering team building AI-powered employee experiences across web, mobile, and agentic interfaces for a global workforce. You will own architecture, strategy, and delivery, driving personalized search, knowledge, and workflows powered by LLMs and agentic AI.

You will partner across Product, Design, HR, Security, Privacy, and SRE to translate needs into measurable outcomes, while ensuring reliability, security, and governance.

Qualifications

• BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical/Computer Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or related fields.
• 12+ years of software engineering experience, including 6+ years leading teams.
• Proven record of hiring, mentoring, and growing engineers, including senior leaders.
• Experience delivering consumer-grade web and/or native mobile products at enterprise scale.
• Experience defining technical strategy and leading architecture/delivery of distributed systems.
• Strong understanding of applied AI technologies (LLMs, agentic systems, search, ML-powered experiences).
• Experience with modern web/mobile development, cloud infrastructure, containers, Kubernetes, APIs, CI/CD, databases, and observability.
• Experience operating high-availability services with focus on security, privacy, accessibility, and compliance.
• Strong product judgment and collaboration with Product, Design, Security, Privacy, SRE, and stakeholders.
• Excellent written and verbal communication to align engineers, partners, and executives.

Responsibilities

• Lead, hire, mentor, and grow a high-performing team of engineers across web, mobile, and AI experiences.
• Define engineering vision, architecture, roadmap, and success metrics for a global employee productivity platform.
• Partner with Product, Design, Data, HR, Security, Privacy, SRE, and enterprise teams to translate needs into priorities.
• Plan and manage team execution with prioritization, capacity planning, milestones, and dependencies.
• Provide hands-on technical leadership across web/mobile clients, cloud services, APIs, data platforms, and integrations.
• Drive delivery of personalized search, knowledge, and workflows powered by LLMs, RAG, and intelligent agents.
• Establish guardrails, observability, identity controls, auditability, and governance for agentic systems.
• Integrate HRIS, identity, collaboration, knowledge, and productivity platforms for connected employee journeys.
• Raise engineering bar in architecture, testing, CI/CD, maintainability, and developer productivity.
• Ensure operational health including reliability, incident response, capacity planning, and cost efficiency, with a focus on security and responsible AI.

We are looking for a Senior Manager, Software Engineering to lead the evolution of our AI-powered employee experiences across web, native mobile, and agentic interfaces. You will build and guide a high-performing engineering team responsible for products that help NVIDIA employees find information, get work done, and navigate personalized, intelligent journeys at global scale. This hands-on leadership role combines people development, product and technical strategy, architecture, and end-to-end operational ownership.

What you'll be doing:

• Lead, hire, mentor, and grow a high-performing team of engineers building employee-facing products across web, native mobile, and agentic AI experiences.

• Define the engineering vision, architecture, multi-quarter roadmap, and success measures for a cohesive employee productivity platform serving a global workforce.

• Partner with Product, Design, Data, HR, Security, Privacy, SRE, and enterprise technology teams to translate employee needs into clear priorities and measurable outcomes.

• Plan and manage team execution, including project prioritization, capacity planning, milestone tracking, dependency management, and predictable delivery.

• Provide hands-on technical leadership across web and mobile clients, cloud-native services, APIs, data platforms, and enterprise integrations through design reviews, code reviews, and targeted prototypes.

• Drive the delivery of personalized search, knowledge, content, and workflow experiences powered by LLMs, retrieval-augmented generation, tool calling, and intelligent agents.

• Establish practices for trustworthy agentic systems, including evaluations, observability, guardrails, identity and access controls, auditability, feedback loops, and human oversight.

• Integrate HRIS, identity, collaboration, knowledge, and productivity platforms to create connected, automated employee journeys.

• Raise the engineering bar for architecture, testing, documentation, CI/CD, maintainability, and developer productivity while guiding teams through complex technical tradeoffs.

• Own the operational health of the team’s products and services, including reliability, performance, incident response, observability, capacity planning, and cost efficiency and ensure security, privacy, accessibility, and responsible AI principles are incorporated throughout product design and development.

What we need to see:

• BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical/Computer Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, other Engineering or related fields (or equivalent experience).

• 12+ overall years of software engineering experience, including 6+ years leading and managing high-performing engineering teams.

• A proven record of hiring, retaining, mentoring, and growing engineers, including senior and principal-level technical leaders.

• Demonstrated success delivering consumer-grade web and/or native mobile products at enterprise scale.

• Experience defining technical strategy and leading the architecture and delivery of distributed, full-stack software systems.

• Strong understanding of applied AI technologies such as LLMs, agentic systems, search, recommendation, retrieval, or machine learning-powered product experiences.

• Experience with modern web and mobile development, cloud infrastructure, containers, Kubernetes, APIs, CI/CD, relational and NoSQL data stores, and production observability.

• Experience operating business-critical services with high standards for reliability, security, privacy, accessibility, and compliance.

• Strong product judgment and a record of collaborating effectively with Product, Design, Security, Privacy, SRE, and business stakeholders.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to align engineers, cross-functional partners, and executives around a clear direction.

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

• Led the delivery of production generative AI or agentic products - such as copilots, RAG systems, conversational assistants, or autonomous workflows to thousands of users.

• Experience building evaluation frameworks, safety guardrails, feedback systems, and governance practices for enterprise AI products.

• Shipped cohesive experiences spanning modern web frameworks and native iOS and/or Android applications.
