A Day in the Life

You’ll start your day reviewing operational metrics across your teams, identifying opportunities to improve system performance and reliability. You’ll spend time in technical design reviews, partnering with Principal Engineers to evaluate architectural tradeoffs for new features. Throughout the day, you’ll coach your engineering managers on handling team challenges, conduct one‑on‑ones with senior engineers to support their growth, and facilitate cross‑team collaboration sessions. You’ll also work on strategic planning documents that shape the multi‑year roadmap for SCos, balancing technical innovation with business priorities.

The AWS Infrastructure Supply Chain Automation team builds the software systems that orchestrate AWS’s physical infrastructure supply chain at global scale. Our mission is to ensure AWS data centers have the right equipment, in the right place, at the right time to support customer demand. We work on complex challenges involving inventory management, capacity planning, and deployment automation that directly impact AWS’s ability to scale.
