Job summary

Cyderes is seeking a Senior Manager, Platform Operations to lead the India-based Platform Operations team in Bengaluru. You will oversee the health, availability, and performance of security and infrastructure platforms underpinning Cyderes' managed services.

You will mentor engineers, partner with global leadership, and drive automation, process improvements, and 24x7 coverage. This hands-on leadership role reports to VP, Managed Services.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in platform operations or IT operations.
• 3+ years in people management or team leadership.
• Hands-on with security/enterprise platforms (SIEM/EDR/FW).
• Strong knowledge of cloud environments (AWS/Azure/GCP) and hybrid infra.
• Proven partner-management across time zones.
• Scripting/automation experience (PowerShell, Python).
• Experience in MSSP/SOC or cybersecurity.
• Bachelors degree in CS/IT or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow the India Platform Operations team for Cyderes' managed services.

About the Role

Cyderes is looking for a Senior Manager, Platform Operations to lead our India-based Platform Operations position within the Managed Platforms organization. You will lead the daily operational health, availability, and performance of the security and infrastructure platforms. These platforms underpin Cyderes' managed services, including SIEM, EDR, FW, and supporting cloud and on-premises infrastructure. Additionally, you will build and lead a high‑performing team of platform engineers and administrators in Bengaluru.

You will partner with global Engineering, Security Operations, and Client Delivery leadership to ensure platforms are reliable, scalable, and secure, while improving operational processes, automation, and team capability. This is a hands‑on leadership role suited to someone who combines strong technical platform expertise with proven people‑management and partner‑management skills.

You will be reporting to VP, Managed Services.

• Lead, mentor, and grow a team of platform engineers and administrators responsible for the operational health of Cyderes' managed security and infrastructure platforms.
• Meet Service level agreements and uptime targets by ensuring platform availability, performance, and capacity across SIEM, EDR, FW, and related toolsets.
• Establish and lead operational thoughtfulness: incident management, change management, problem management, patching, upgrades, and platform lifecycle processes.
• Act as an escalation point for complex platform issues, coordinating with Security Operations, Engineering, and Client Delivery teams to resolve incidents quickly.
• Partner with global Platform Operations leadership in the US, Canada, and UK to align processes, share knowledge, and ensure consistent 24x7 follow‑the‑sun coverage.
• Create automation and tooling programs to reduce manual effort, improve reliability, and scale platform operations as our client base grows.
• Own capacity planning, staffing, and scheduling for the India Platform Operations team, including hiring, onboarding, and performance management.
• Develop and track Measurements and operational metrics; report on platform health, team performance, and improvement projects to senior leadership.
• Support security and compliance requirements, including access management, audit readiness, and adherence to Cyderes' information security policies.
• Contribute to strategic planning for platform architecture, tooling investments, and process improvements across the Managed Platforms organization.
• Support all leadership activities associated with the Professional Services organization that contains similar responsibilities to that of Platform Management based on drafted SOWs.

• 8+ years of experience in platform operations, infrastructure engineering, or IT operations, with at least 3+ years in a people‑management or team‑lead capacity.
• Hands‑on experience administering and operating security or enterprise platforms such as SIEM (e.g., Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel, CS NG SIEM, EDR, FW, or similar telemetry and security tooling.
• Strong working knowledge of cloud environments (Amazon Web Services, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform) and hybrid infrastructure, including networking, virtualization, and identity fundamentals.
• Coach, and develop technical teams, with strong skills in performance management, scheduling, and career development.
• Excellent partner‑management, with the across geographically distributed teams and time zones.
• Scripting or automation experience (e.g., PowerShell, Python, or similar) is a strong plus.
• Experience working in a managed security services provider (MSSP), SOC, or cybersecurity environment.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., Information Technology Infrastructure Library, cloud platform certifications, vendor‑specific SIEM/EDR/FW certifications).
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
