Job summary

DHL Blue Dart Express India is seeking a Senior Manager – Network & Design to lead optimization projects across the network. This role focuses on detailed network analysis, scenario modelling, and supporting automation initiatives at hubs and gateways.

Reporting to the Head – Network & Design, you will build models, test capacity scenarios, and drive cost efficiency and service improvement while collaborating with regional operations, finance, and IT to ensure successful rollout and measurable

Qualifications

• Graduate in Engineering, Operations, or Supply Chain Management.
• 8–10 years of experience in network optimization, logistics planning, or supply chain analytics.
• Experience with modelling, optimization tools, and BI dashboards.
• Exposure to automation or facility layout projects is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Network Analysis & Planning: gather/analyze network performance data; build models for capacity expansion, consolidation, or routing changes; identify constraints and propose solutions.
• Execution Support: assist in implementing automation projects with ROI tracking; support pilots and embed changes into daily operations; track performance against business case assumptions.
• Monitoring & Reporting: develop dashboards to monitor utilization, cost per shipment, and SLA metrics; document learnings from projects.
• Collaboration: partner with Regional Operations; work with Finance for cost-benefit validation and IT for digital integration.
• Continuous Improvement: recommend process improvements based on analysis; benchmark performance against market leaders.

Position Overview

The Senior Manager – Network & Design will support the Head – Network & Design in executing optimization projects across Blue Dart’s network. This role focuses on detailed network analysis, scenario modelling, and supporting automation projects at hubs and gateways. It will serve as the execution engine that translates strategic network initiatives into measurable improvements.

Job Purpose

To provide specialist expertise in network analysis and optimization, ensuring that changes deliver measurable cost savings, scalability, and service quality improvements.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

Network Analysis & Planning

• Gather and analyse network performance data across hubs, linehaul, and delivery.
• Build models to test scenarios such as facility expansion, consolidation, or routing changes.
• Identify capacity constraints and provide solutions.

Execution Support

• Assist in implementing automation projects with ROI tracking.
• Support regional pilots and embed network design changes into daily operations.
• Track performance of implemented solutions against business case assumptions.

Monitoring & Reporting

• Develop dashboards to monitor utilization, cost per shipment, and SLA metrics.
• Document and share learnings from optimization projects.

Collaboration

• Partner with Regional Operations to ensure smooth rollout of network changes.

Education
