Job summary

Fidelity India is seeking a Senior Manager, Model Controls Engineer to strengthen governance, testing, and validation of analytical models used in financial crimes detection. You will lead independent model testing, data validation, and controls to ensure accuracy and regulatory readiness.

Collaborating with data scientists, engineers, and compliance partners, you will design automated validation, monitor data quality, and support audit-ready documentation across the organization.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in Data Science, Analytics, Data Engineering, Model Validation, Model Risk Management, or related field.
• Strong experience with SQL and Python in analytical and testing environments.
• Experience working with large-scale datasets and performing data analysis, variance analysis, and reconciliation.
• Demonstrated experience in model testing, controls, validation, or governance activities.
• Experience supporting compliance, risk, audit, or regulatory initiatives is a plus.

In this role, you will leverage your expertise in model testing, data validation, and analytics to help ensure the integrity of critical financial crimes detection capabilities.

The Purpose of This Role

The Model Assurance Testing and Controls team is responsible for independently validating analytical models, testing model outputs, and strengthening controls that support Fidelity's Financial Crimes Compliance programs. As a Senior Manager, Model Controls Engineer, you will work closely with data scientists, engineers, compliance partners, and risk stakeholders to ensure model outputs are accurate, explainable, and consistently performing as expected. Your work will help strengthen governance, improve data quality, and support regulatory and audit readiness across the organization.

The Expertise We’re Looking For

• 7+ years of experience in Data Science, Analytics, Data Engineering, Model Validation, Model Risk Management, Controls Engineering, or a related field
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Science, Finance, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience
• Strong experience with SQL and Python in analytical and testing environments
