Job summary

M&G plc in Mumbai seeks a Senior Manager, Longevity Reporting Accountant to lead the preparation and review of longevity reporting outputs, journals, reconciliations, and balance sheet substantiation.

You will coordinate actuarial, reinsurance, treasury and ledger inputs, investigate movements, and maintain controls and data lineage for longevity reporting while supporting testing and change activities as contracts and data sources evolve.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review longevity reporting outputs, journals, reconciliations, settlement analysis and balance sheet substantiation.
• Understand contractual and operational data flows and ensure that reporting reflects the relevant longevity arrangements.
• Coordinate actuarial, reinsurance, treasury, operations and ledger inputs needed for reporting.
• Investigate movements and exceptions, provide clear commentary and ensure unresolved items have owners and target actions.
• Maintain procedures, controls, evidence and data lineage for specialist longevity reporting.
• Support testing and change where contracts, data sources, calculations or systems are amended.
• Contribute to reporting timetable planning and ensure specialist dependencies are visible and actively managed.
• Provide subject matter support to colleagues and reviewers on the operation of longevity reporting.
