About The Role

We are looking for a seasoned Banking & Treasury professional with 15+ years of experience to manage end-to-end treasury operations, banking relationships, foreign exchange risk, trade finance, and regulatory compliance.

The role requires strategic oversight of working capital, funding, liquidity management, and financial risk mitigation while ensuring adherence to FEMA, RBI, and banking regulations.

In addition to managing the treasury and banking functions for the company, the incumbent will also oversee the banking and treasury operations of subsidiaries based in India and Vietnam.

Salary Budget CTC: ₹22.0 LPA (Including Perks and Incentive)

Job Location: Kochi, Kerala, India

Key Responsibilities
  • Treasury Operations & Cash Management
    • Monitor inward remittances and ensure timely reconciliation.
    • Oversee working capital limits, including Buyer’s Credit utilization and compliance with sanction terms.
    • Track and analyze weekly collection trends and liquidity positions.
    • Ensure efficient cash flow planning and optimum fund allocation.
    • Drive effective working capital and liquidity management initiatives.
  • Trade Finance, Export & Import Operations
    • Supervise export and import documentation while ensuring regulatory compliance.
    • Monitor timely closure of shipping bills in IDPMS and EDPMS.
    • Facilitate and track Export Packing Credit (EPC) availment and utilization.
    • Coordinate with internal stakeholders and banks for smooth trade finance operations.
  • Banking Relationship Management
    • Act as the primary liaison with banks and financial institutions.
    • Manage Letter of Credit (LC) and Bank Guarantee (BG) issuance and administration.
    • Coordinate submission of periodic financial and compliance reports to banks.
    • Strengthen banking relationships to ensure efficient funding and treasury support.
  • Foreign Exchange & Risk Management
    • Monitor and manage forward contracts, utilization, and reporting.
    • Prepare and circulate forex exposure and forward contract reports.
    • Perform Mark-to-Market (MTM) valuation and analysis.
    • Track and report unhedged foreign currency exposure.
    • Develop and implement hedging strategies to mitigate forex risks.
  • External Commercial Borrowings (ECB)
    • Facilitate ECB loan availing processes including documentation and approvals.
    • Ensure timely filing of ECB returns with regulatory authorities.
    • Monitor compliance with RBI and FEMA regulations related to ECBs.
  • Regulatory Compliance & Risk Governance
    • Ensure compliance with FEMA regulations across all trade and treasury transactions.
    • Manage trade-related FEMA compliances and reporting requirements.
    • Facilitate and monitor Legal Entity Identifier (LEI) requirements.
    • Ensure adherence to internal controls and governance standards.
  • Insurance & Credit Risk Management
    • Facilitate procurement and monitoring of ECGC policies.
    • Ensure adequate insurance coverage for export receivables.
    • Support credit risk mitigation and monitoring initiatives.
  • Credit Rating & Financial Credibility
    • Coordinate with CARE and other credit rating agencies.
    • Facilitate annual rating reviews and documentation processes.
    • Support initiatives for rating improvement through financial analysis and reporting.
  • Supply Chain Financing & TReDS
    • Manage invoice discounting through TReDS platforms.
    • Negotiate competitive lending rates and optimize financing costs.
    • Ensure timely confirmation and utilization of supply chain financing facilities.
Key Skills & Competencies
  • Strong expertise in Treasury Management, Forex, and Trade Finance
  • In-depth knowledge of FEMA, RBI regulations, and ECB guidelines
  • Experience in banking negotiations and relationship management
  • Proficiency in financial risk management and hedging strategies
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills, including MTM and exposure analysis
  • Familiarity with TReDS platforms and supply chain financing
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple entities and cross-functional coordination
Qualifications & Experience
  • CA / MBA (Finance) / CMA / ICWA or equivalent qualification preferred
  • 15+ years of relevant experience in Banking, Treasury, or Corporate Finance
  • Experience in export-oriented or manufacturing industries will be an added advantage
