Job summary

Sun Pharma in Mumbai seeks a supply chain professional to lead demand and supply planning for Biologics and manage materials across the value chain. You will oversee inventory, cost of goods, order management with CDMOs, and KPI analysis to drive continuous improvements.

The role requires a Masters in SCM or related field and 5+ years of experience in pharma settings. You will collaborate across functions to minimize waste and optimize partner workflows.

Qualifications

• Masters in SCM or Chemical Engineering or Biotechnology or Pharma.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in supply chain roles within pharma/biologics.

Responsibilities

• Demand and supply planning for Biologics.
• Materials management including inventory of raw materials, reagents, WIP and finished goods.
• Minimize wastage and manage short-dated items.
• Estimate cost of goods and reconcile annually.
• Manage orders with external manufacturers, labs and partners; invoicing for materials.
• Track invoices/payments; negotiate annual rebates with CDMOs.
• Ensure CDA/MSA validity and manage order cycles.
• Maintain KPI metrics for material management and PO/invoice data.
• Communicate with stakeholders on CoGs, inventory risks, and mitigation plans.
• Supervise and train warehouse staff at partner sites.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for demand and supply planning for Biologics
• Responsible for materials management including inventory of all raw materials, reagents, work in progress and finished goods of branded products
• Ensure minimize wastage of raw materials, reagents, short dating of finished goods
• Responsible for estimating the actual cost of goods of the branded products and reconciliation as required annually
• Responsible for order management at the external manufacturers, testing labs and other partners and also invoicing partners for materials supplied incl. reagents, finished goods and others.
• Responsible to track that invoices are processed and payments are made and received on time. Annual rebates with CDMOs are secured where applicable are secured.
• Responsible to manage all CDA’s, MSA’s are valid and managed. Direct, optimize and coordinate full order cycle
• Maintain KPI metrics from material management and PO/ invoice perspective and analyze the data for improvement
• Comply with company policies, local laws and local regulations as required
• The candidate will communicate across the organization to ensure key stakeholders are aware of CoGs, inventory, potential risks associated and required mitigation plans.
• Able to supervise, coach and train warehouse workforce at the partners
• Other duties as assigned
