Job Summary

• The role is responsible for the review, challenge and delivery oversight of CIB Credit Risk reporting, with particular focus on Early Alert, past‑due and forbearance reporting, external disclosures, portfolio monitoring and ad hoc management reporting.
• The role holder will help ensure that BAU reports and analytical outputs are accurate, timely, appropriately controlled and supported by clear commentary. The role will involve reviewing material portfolio movements, investigating data and reporting issues, coordinating inputs and approvals, and preparing ad hoc analysis in response to emerging risks and senior stakeholder requirements.
• The role holder will also oversee selected reporting governance activities, including control evidence, audit requests, reporting‑related M7 issues and aspects of STDF reporting governance. The individual will identify opportunities to improve reporting quality, simplify processes and reduce manual effort through automation, dashboard enhancements and improved data sourcing.
• This is primarily a BAU reporting, review and governance role. It requires strong analytical judgement, attention to detail and the ability to manage recurring reporting cycles alongside ad hoc requests and reporting enhancements.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy

• Support the effective delivery and continuous improvement of CIB Credit Risk reporting.
• Identify practical opportunities to improve report quality, timeliness, controls and analytical usefulness.
• Contribute ideas to simplify reporting processes and reduce manual work through automation, dashboards and improved data sourcing.
• Support the development of more consistent and sustainable BAU reporting processes.

Business

• Review and challenge regular CIB Credit Risk reports before circulation to senior stakeholders, committees and risk forums.
• Oversee Early Alert reporting, including portfolio movements, new inflows, upgrades, regularisations, ageing and other relevant risk indicators.
• Review material changes in exposure, credit quality, concentrations, limit utilisation, stressed assets, RWA, ECL and other relevant portfolio measures.
• Prepare clear commentary explaining material movements, emerging risks, reporting limitations and areas requiring management attention.
• Prepare ad hoc reports and portfolio analysis in response to emerging risks, management requests and specific business questions.
• Respond to stakeholder queries relating to CIB risk reports, portfolio data, Early Alert reporting, disclosures and underlying movements.
• Coordinate with report preparers, Credit teams, Finance, Data and other subject‑matter experts to resolve reporting queries and exceptions.

Processes

• Oversee the timely preparation, review and completion of assigned BAU reports and analytical deliverables.
• Review Early Alert reports and dashboards, including data movements, client classifications, approval status, ageing and consistency across underlying data sources.
• Coordinate past‑due and forbearance reporting, including collection of country inputs, consolidation, review, approval and submission to relevant stakeholders.
• Support external and financial disclosure processes, including preparation of reporting templates, supporting evidence and responses to related queries.
• Perform review and challenge of report content, reconciliations, commentary, manual adjustments and supporting control evidence.
• Investigate differences between source data, reporting systems, dashboards and final reporting outputs.
• Support UAT, retesting and post‑implementation validation of Early Alert dashboards and other reporting enhancements.
• Identify repetitive or manual processes that can be simplified, standardised or automated.
• Work with Data, Change and Technology teams to define and test practical reporting enhancements.
• Maintain appropriate process documentation, review evidence and operating procedures.

People & Talent

• Build effective working relationships across CIB Credit, Risk Reporting, Finance, Data, Technology, Change and country reporting teams.
• Provide clear guidance to report preparers on expected reporting quality, commentary and control standards.
• Coordinate inputs, reviews and approvals across relevant country, regional and Group stakeholders.
• Work collaboratively with technical and non‑technical teams to investigate and resolve reporting issues.
• Support knowledge transfer and consistent reporting practices across the team.

Risk Management

• Review CIB Credit Risk information to identify material portfolio movements, concentrations, emerging risks and reporting exceptions.
• Apply review and challenge to identify unexplained movements, weak commentary, data-quality issues and inconsistencies between reports.
• Assess whether Early Alert and other portfolio reporting outputs are reasonable and consistent with underlying portfolio information.
• Ensure material assumptions, limitations, exceptions and manual adjustments are clearly documented and appropriately escalated.
• Support investigation and remediation of reporting and data‑quality issues.
• Identify process or control gaps arising from delayed approvals, incomplete information or inconsistent upstream data.

Governance

• Ensure assigned BAU reports, disclosures and ad hoc analytical outputs are supported by appropriate review, approval and control evidence.
• Coordinate audit walkthroughs and provide evidence relating to past‑due, forbearance and other assigned reporting processes.
• Maintain appropriate documentation and audit trails for reporting inputs, consolidation, review, approvals, submissions and issue resolution.
• Monitor reporting‑related issues, actions and dependencies and elevate overdue or inadequately evidenced items.
• Oversee assigned reporting‑related M7 records, including action ownership, treatment plans, evidence and remediation tracking.
• Provide oversight of selected STDF governance activities, including tracking reporting requirements, control completion, approvals and material reporting changes.
• Coordinate with relevant subject‑matter experts where changes to regulatory guidance, templates or data requirements affect existing reporting processes.
• Support BIA, BCP and other operational governance activities relevant to the reporting function.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in finance, economics, risk management, accounting, business, data analytics or a related discipline.
• Relevant experience in Credit Risk reporting, portfolio analytics, external disclosures, regulatory reporting or a related financial institution role.
• Good knowledge of CIB Credit Risk portfolios, data and reporting processes.
• Experience in Early Alert, portfolio monitoring, past‑due, forbearance or stressed‑asset reporting.
• Understanding of key Credit Risk measures, including exposure, credit grades, Early Alert, past due, forbearance, RWA and ECL.
• Experience reviewing BAU risk reports and preparing clear commentary on material portfolio movements.
• Experience coordinating reporting inputs, reviews, approvals and submissions across multiple stakeholders.
• Experience supporting financial disclosures, audit walkthroughs, governance or issue‑remediation activities.
• Ability to review and challenge reporting outputs, control evidence and management commentary.
• Strong analytical skills, including the ability to investigate data differences and identify root causes.
