Polycab India is seeking a Capex Controller to support CAPEX governance, project monitoring, and fixed asset tracking. You will build dashboards in Excel/Power BI, analyze capital spend, and ensure asset capitalization readiness across plants in India.

The role offers exposure to manufacturing finance, project controls, and capital investment management, with close collaboration with procurement and business teams. CA with 0–3 years experience is preferred.

To support the CAPEX and FixedAsset Governance function by assisting in project monitoring, managementreporting, fixed asset tracking, capital expenditure analysis, physicalverification activities, compliance monitoring, and process improvement initiatives.The role provides exposure to manufacturing finance, project controls, andcapital investment management.

Key Responsibilities

1. CAPEX Monitoring &Project Support

• Assistin tracking approved CAPEX projects across plants and functions.
• Prepareproject-wise budget versus actual expenditure reports.
• MaintainCAPEX trackers and project milestone dashboards.
• Followup with project teams for status updates and required documentation.
• Supportpreparation of project review presentations.

2. CWIP Monitoring

• Followup with User teams for supporting documents
• PrepareCWIP ageing reports and identify overdue items
• Supporttimely transfer of eligible CIP to CWIP to Fixed Assets

3. Management Reporting &MIS

• Prepare monthly MIS reports related to CAPEXutilization.
• Assist in preparation of Board and ExCompresentations.
• Compile data relating to project progress,budget utilization and project delays.
• Develop and maintain dashboards using Excel,Power BI, or ERP reports.
• Generate periodic reports as required bymanagement.

4. Fixed Asset Governance

• Maintainand update Fixed Asset databases and trackers.
• Supportreview of Fixed Asset Register (FAR).
• Assistin tracking capitalization readiness of completed assets.
• Coordinateasset tagging and asset master data validation.
• Supportmonitoring of asset movements across locations.

5. Working Capital & OpenCommitment Tracking

• Preparereports on open purchase orders and advances.
• Followup with procurement and project teams for closure of old outstanding items.
• Supportpreparation of quarterly capital cash flow forecasts.

6. Compliance & Audit

• Assistduring internal, statutory and IFC audits.
• Prepareschedules, reports and documents required for audits.
• Trackclosure status of audit observations.
• Maintaindocumentation related to CAPEX approvals and project records.

7. Business Partnering

• Assistin review of CAPEX proposals and investment requests.
• Compileproject cost information and supporting data.
• Supportanalysis of project performance and asset utilization.

Education Qualification andskills

• CAwith upto 3 Years of experience strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Goodanalytical and problem-solving skills
• Basicunderstanding of accounting and finance concepts
• Knowledgeof Power BI will be an added advantage
• Exposureto Oracle is preferred
• Strongcommunication and stakeholder management skills
