Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Manager – GST Litigation with deep hands‑on litigation experience from a consulting background to lead complex GST matters, manage large corporate clients, and drive team performance across PAN India assignments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead PAN India GST compliances and litigation for large corporate clients and state‑level associates
  • Independently handle GST litigations, including assessments, audits, appeals, and departmental proceedings at various levels
  • Appear before GST authorities, appellate authorities, and other forums for representations and hearings
  • Draft and review GST opinions, replies to notices, show cause notices, appeals, and written submissions
  • Manage and mentor a team of 10–12 professionals (CAs, semi‑qualified professionals, graduates, and article trainees)
  • Own client relationships, act as the key escalation point, and ensure high client satisfaction
  • Provide strategic inputs on litigation planning, risk mitigation, and dispute resolution
  • Oversee and ensure timely and accurate filing of GST returns (GSTR‑1, GSTR‑3B, ISD, etc.)
  • Review ITC reconciliations (2A / 2B) and resolve complex mismatches
  • Handle department audits, investigations, and representations
  • Review and analyze agreements and contracts to determine GST implications and tax positions
  • Finalize, review, and present GST reports, MIS, and litigation status updates to clients and management
  • Release periodic GST updates and advisories for internal and external stakeholders
  • Train, guide, and upskill team members on GST law, litigation handling, and client management

Required Candidate Profile
  • Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) with 6–10 years of post‑qualification experience in Indirect Tax
  • Strong and proven GST litigation experience is mandatory
  • Prior experience in a consulting / professional services firm handling large corporate clients
  • Demonstrated expertise in GST assessments, audits, investigations, and litigations
  • Hands‑on experience in drafting SCNs, replies, appeals, and legal submissions
  • Proven ability to appear and represent clients before tax authorities
  • Strong experience in team leadership, mentoring, and performance management
  • Track record of client relationship management, business development support, and firm representation
  • Excellent communication, drafting, presentation, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
