Senior Manager – Asset Servicing Data & Digital
Role Summary
The Senior Manager – Asset Servicing Data & Digital Technology is a senior leadership role responsible for driving the architecture, design, and delivery of enterprise data and digital platforms. This position combines hands‑on technical leadership with strategic oversight of large‑scale programs to enable scalable, secure, and client‑centric solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Technology Strategy & Architecture: Lead architecture, design, and implementation of enterprise digital and data platforms.
- Define and drive adoption of modern engineering patterns, including event‑driven architecture and Pub/Sub models, domain‑driven design (DDD), microservices and containerization, cloud‑native architecture (Azure preferred), and data engineering pipelines.
- Ensure delivery of secure, scalable, and resilient systems aligned with enterprise standards.
- Application Development & Platform Ownership: Provide technical leadership across Portals, Datamart, and Datashare platforms, ensuring consistent architecture and integration.
- Oversee full‑stack development practices: front‑end (React and modern UX frameworks), back‑end (Java, Spring, APIs, Python, Snowflake), with C++ as an additional skill.
- Drive engineering excellence across the full SDLC, ensuring high‑quality, maintainable codebases.
- Strategic Program Leadership: Lead delivery of key business initiatives, including enterprise integration of Fenergo across Asset Servicing platforms, partner with stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable technology solutions and roadmaps, and manage execution across multiple projects.
- Data Engineering & Platform Enablement: Lead development of enterprise data platforms, including Data Hubs, Data Marts, and analytics solutions, and design data engineering solutions that leverage Snowflake and cloud‑based technologies.
- People Leadership & Talent Development: Build, lead, and mentor high‑performing engineering teams, motivate, develop talent, and promote best practices.
- Stakeholder Management & Collaboration: Collaborate with global business and technology teams, communicate effectively with senior stakeholders, and ensure adherence to policies and regulatory requirements.
- Delivery Excellence & Commercial Focus: Drive efficient prioritization, planning, and delivery across competing initiatives.
Required Skills & Experience
Technical Expertise
- Full‑stack software engineering: React, Java, Spring Boot, APIs, Python, Snowflake, SQL.
- Advanced proficiency in event‑driven architecture, DDD, microservices, containers, Azure, Python, and Snowflake applications.
- Knowledge of data modelling (relational, dimensional), data engineering and analytics platforms (Snowflake, Databricks), and enterprise security and integration patterns.
Leadership & Delivery
- Proven track record of leading large‑scale, complex technology programs.
- Manage multiple teams and concurrent projects in a global environment.
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and delivery frameworks.
Domain Knowledge
- Experience in Asset Servicing, Asset Management, or Financial Services.
- Familiarity with Northern Trust systems, platforms, and design patterns desirable.

Education & Experience

- Knowledge of regulatory and data governance frameworks in financial services.
- Exposure to modern data management tools and ETL frameworks.
