Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal seeks a Senior Manager - AI Security Engineering and Implementation to lead security initiatives across AI systems. You will establish comprehensive assessment, control and guardrails, ensuring secure development, deployment and management for clients.

You will collaborate with data scientists, legal and compliance teams to embed security best practices throughout the AI lifecycle and help drive compliant AI implementations with policy-based controls.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in cybersecurity, AI security or related fields with leadership exposure.

Responsibilities

Job Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Senior Manager - AI Security Engineering and Implementation to lead our AI security initiatives and establish comprehensive technical assessment, control and guardrails frameworks. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the secure development, deployment, and management of AI systems for our clients leveraging tools/policy-based controls, while maintaining compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead risk assessments and vulnerability analyses related to AI models, data, and infrastructure.
• Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, legal, and compliance teams to embed security best practices throughout the AI lifecycle.
• Designs model red-team playbooks with product, safety, and policy teams; routes findings into AI risk registers
• Deploys and tunes AI gateway and runtime guardrail controls
• Instruments inference traffic with logging, anomaly detection, and behaviour analytics/ Codifies runtime policy-as-code
• Publish thought leadership for AI security and governance, blogs, papers, surveys, etc.
• Lead/ assist in drafting proposals and setting up lab for POC/ pre-sales

Qualifications

• Degree in computer science, Cybersecurity, Data Science, or a related field; relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, SANS-GSEC, AIGP etc.) are a plus.
• 8+ years of experience in cybersecurity, AI security, or related domains, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
• Strong understanding of AI/ML technologies, tools and platforms, and regulatory considerations in AI.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
