Responsibilities

• Development
• Coordinating with multiple stakeholders in project throughout SDLC phase

Required Skills

• Experience in mainframe development
• Strong knowledge and experience of COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, Stored procedures, MQ and other mainframe technologies
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting
• Experience with mainframe software development tools and platforms (z/OS, z/VM, z/Linux, IBM System z)
• Ability to define, manage and administer IBM MQ Queues including local queues, remote queues, queue managers, channels etc.
• Hands-on experience with test plan development, test case generation, test plan execution, formal defect tracking and reporting methodologies.
• Conducting unit testing and regression testing on mainframe applications to uncover bugs before deployment.
• Good experience preparing Test scenarios, executing and working with Dev team.
• Ability to install and upgrade MQ software, including patch installation and configuration.
• Performance tuning of MQ queues
• Ability to define MQ clusters, load balancers for high availability and scalability.
• Ability to define and manage security and data encryption controls for MQ queues.
• Ability to install and manage certificates
• Ability to collaborate with application development teams to come up with the MQ architecture and design to support scalable and available application development.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
