Nordavo is seeking a Senior Magento 2 Backend Developer to join our Indiranagar office in Bangalore, on-site. You will design and build the backend for Magento 2/HYVÄ stores, integrate with ERP/PIM systems, and ensure scalable, high-performance APIs while coordinating with European teams.

• 5+ years Magento 2 backend development experience.
• Strong knowledge of Magento 2 architecture (DI, plugins, events, service contracts, repositories, message queues).
• Strong PHP8.x development skills.
• Experience creating and packaging Magento modules using Composer.
• Experience with complex integrations (ERP, PIM, payment providers, custom REST/GraphQL APIs).
• Comfortable working with Git and professional branching and review processes.
• Ability to write readable, testable and properly documented code.
• Experience with PHPUnit and integration testing.
• Familiarity with Magento coding standards.
• Fluent English and reliable communication across time zones.
• Willing and able to work full-time from our office in Indiranagar, Bangalore.

Senior Magento 2 Backend Developer

Location: Indiranagar, Bangalore, Karnataka. Job Type: Full‑Time. Work Mode: On‑site.

What You Will Do

• Design and build back end of complex Magento 2 and Hyvä stores.
• Develop data models, service contracts and custom Magento modules.
• Build high‑performance REST and GraphQL APIs.
• Create and maintain integrations with ERP, PIM, payment and other external systems.
• Safeguard architecture, performance and code quality without unnecessarily slowing down delivery.
• Translate business requirements and client needs into reliable technical solutions.
• Make informed technical decisions when direction is required.
• Collaborate directly with European product owners, developers and other stakeholders.
• Communicate clearly and reliably in English across different time zones.
• Perform code reviews and share technical knowledge with other developers.
• Identify technical risks and bottlenecks before they become larger problems.
• Take ownership of projects and contribute to architectural decisions.

Must‑Have Requirements

• At least 5 years of demonstrable Magento 2 back‑end development experience.
• Strong knowledge of Magento 2 architecture (DI, plugins, events, service contracts, repositories, message queues).
• Strong PHP8.x development skills.
• Experience creating and packaging Magento modules using Composer.
• Experience with complex integrations (ERP, PIM, payment providers, custom REST/GraphQL APIs).

• Adobe Commerce Professional or Expert certification.
