Job summary

Apple is seeking a Machine Learning Expert on the Information Intelligence team to shape next-generation Search and Question Answering across Apple products, including Siri, Safari, and Spotlight. You will leverage ML expertise and robust software engineering to deliver world-class search experiences for billions of users.

With 8+ years in shipping search/QA technologies and strong programming skills (C++, Python, Scala, Go), you will build and evaluate tooling, improve relevance and accuracy,

• 8+ years experience shipping Search and Q&A technologies and ML systems.
• Proficient in C++, Python, Scala, and Go.
• Experience delivering tooling and frameworks to evaluate components and end-to-end quality.

Responsibilities

• Develop world-class Search and Question Answering experiences for Apple customers using cutting-edge search technologies.
• Engineer scalable ML systems and tools to evaluate end-to-end quality of search results and answers.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across product, engineering, and design to shape information retrieval solutions.
• Continuously improve search relevance, ranking, and answer accuracy leveraging RAG and LLMs.
