Job summary

SAP India Private Limited is seeking a Senior/Staff AI Engineer to design and deliver intelligent systems powering enterprise AI capabilities across SAP’s ecosystem. You will build robust services, APIs, and agentic workflows, integrating AI into SAP products for smarter automation and improved customer experiences.

You will work across Go, Java, and Python, tackle scalability, performance, and reliability challenges, and mentor engineers to ensure production-ready results.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering with production ML/AI experience.

As an AI Expert and Architect, you will design and deliver intelligent systems that power large-scale AI capabilities across SAP’s ecosystem. You will take ideas from concept to production, building robust services, APIs, and agentic workflows that enable enterprise-grade AI applications in the real world. You will work across technology stack, using languages such as Go, Java, and Python, and technologies such as LangGraph, PostgreSQL, SAP HANA, and GraphQL. You will directly shape how AI is embedded into SAP products, driving smarter automation, better decision-making, and improved customer experiences. You will tackle challenges related to scalability, performance, and reliability while integrating advanced AI capabilities into enterprise environments. In parallel, you will help define technical standards, guide architectural decisions, and mentor engineers to ensure innovation translates into high-quality, production-ready systems.

What you bring

• 10+ years of software engineering experience, delivering ML or AI solutions in production


• Proven experience architecting scalable systems, APIs, and data platforms


• Hands‑on programming experience in Go, Java, or Python


• Experience working with distributed systems technologies (e.g., messaging systems, databases, RPC frameworks)


• Practical experience applying AI/ML techniques, including LLMs, in real-world products


• Experience leading initiatives end-to-end—from design through deployment and optimization


• Strong exposure to CI/CD, testing practices, and cloud-native architectures


• Experience collaborating with cross‑functional teams in global environments


• Track record of mentoring engineers and fostering technical excellence
