Welcome to Warner Bros. Discovery… the stuff dreams are made of.
Who We Are…
When we say, “the stuff dreams are made of,” we’re not just referring to the world of wizards, dragons and superheroes, or even to the wonders of Planet Earth. Behind WBD’s vast portfolio of iconic content and beloved brands, are the storytellers bringing our characters to life, the creators bringing them to your living rooms and the dreamers creating what’s next…
From brilliant creatives, to technology trailblazers, across the globe, WBD offers career defining opportunities, thoughtfully curated benefits, and the tools to explore and grow into your best selves. Here you are supported, here you are celebrated, here you can thrive.
As a Senior Linux Engineer, you will serve as a key technical leader responsible for architecting, implementing, and maintaining mission‑critical Linux infrastructure across large‑scale, enterprise environments. This role demands deep expertise in Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), strong proficiency in infrastructure automation, and hands‑on experience driving modernization initiatives that enhance platform stability, scalability, and operational efficiency.
In this senior position, you will act as the primary escalation point for complex Linux‑related issues, ensuring the reliability, performance, and security of the organization’s on‑premises compute environments. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with VMware Aria Automation (vRA), Ansible, Jenkins, Packer, and advanced scripting, coupled with a solid track record of delivering automation‑driven improvements.
Your responsibilities extend beyond day‑to‑day operations; you will influence architectural decisions, establish best practices, and lead cross‑functional efforts to standardize Linux deployments and streamline provisioning workflows. As the subject matter expert for Linux systems engineering and automation, you will enable consistency, reduce operational toil, and help shape long‑term infrastructure strategies.
To be successful, you will possess a unique blend of business and technical acumen; a big‑picture vision as well as the drive and attention to detail that transforms vision into a reality. You must be willing to work as “one team”: Building relationships with internal stakeholders, external vendors, all while contributing within a highly collaborative environment.
This last bit is probably the most important! Here at WBD, our guiding principles are the core values by which we operate and are central to how we get things done. You can find them at www.wbd.com/guiding-principles/ along with some insights from the team on what they mean and how they show up in their day to day. We hope they resonate with you and look forward to discussing them during your interview.
