Job Description

Reporting to VP Learning, as a Senior Learning Programme Manager, you will be responsible for leading, operating, and continuously improving a training and readiness programme supporting over 1,000 resources globally for our Technology client. The programme is evolving and scaling at speed, requiring strong operational leadership, strategic thinking, and the ability to influence across a highly matrixed organization. The Learning Programme Manager partners closely with a Learning Director based in South Africa but owns day‑to‑day programme operations independently.

Please note this is a 12-month fixed‑term contract.

Responsibilities
  • Owning end‑to‑end operational delivery of the training and readiness programme across multiple, interdependent workstreams, setting priorities and ensuring delivery against them
  • Leading onboarding and readiness experiences for programme participants, keeping them consistent, high quality, and scalable as the programme grows and changes
  • Leading and facilitating cross‑functional meetings, including global forums and steering‑style discussions, and making sure they end in clear decisions and follow‑through
  • Presenting regular programme updates, insights, and risks to senior stakeholders and the Learning Director, translating day‑to‑day detail into a clear narrative
  • Running training refresh cycles, managing the knock‑on effects when processes, tools, or requirements change
  • Owning quarterly content governance cycles, keeping materials accurate, compliant, and aligned to evolving business needs
  • Managing intake, prioritisation, tracking, and delivery of training and readiness requests, and balancing competing priorities at scale
  • Maintaining and improving operational trackers, governance logs, and programme documentation as the programme evolves
  • Monitoring programme health metrics and turning them into insight, spotting trends in training completion, readiness, and risk areas
  • Spotting programme risks early, assessing them, and escalating with clear context and a recommendation rather than just a flag
  • Acting as the point of escalation for operational issues, driving them to resolution across teams and vendors
  • Managing day‑to‑day relationships with vendor partners and holding them to quality and delivery standards
  • Partnering with the Learning Director on continuous improvement work, including AI, automation, and process optimisation pilots.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience within training operations, enablement, program operations, or operational excellence, ideally in a global or enterprise environment
  • Proven ability to own a program end to end, including making and defending prioritisation calls
  • Comfort operating in a fast‑changing, still‑developing program rather than a fully settled one
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence, align, and drive decisions without formal authority
  • Demonstrated experience identifying, managing, and mitigating operational and program‑level risks
  • Demonstrated experience in operationalising processes using AI at a Claude, Copilot or GPT interface rather than bought specialist tools
  • Exceptional organisational skills and the ability to manage complex, parallel workstreams with minimal oversight
  • Strong analytical mindset, comfortable turning data into clear insights and narratives
  • Clear, concise, and professional written and verbal communication skills in English, including with senior stakeholders
  • Comfort operating in a global, matrixed environment across time zones and cultures
  • A proactive, ownership‑driven mindset, comfortable operating independently and navigating ambiguity
Nice‑to‑haves
  • Experience with learning systems, training platforms, readiness models, or governance frameworks
  • Experience with AI‑enabled operations, automation, or process optimisation pilots
  • Background in large client environments
  • Experience with vendor management
  • Familiarity with vendor skilling, readiness, or enablement programmes at scale.

Note: We emphasise skills, expertise and behavioural attributes over years of experience and traditional degrees. If you want to join our collaborative team, we invite you to apply today with your resume in English.
