Job summary

Qualcomm India Private Limited in Hyderabad is seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer to join the Engineering Group. You will develop security mitigation features at kernel and user space and work with cross-functional teams on security design reviews.

The role requires 6+ years of experience in Android/Linux ecosystems, AOSP, SELinux, and C/C++ embedded development, with strong Linux kernel knowledge. Bachelor’s/Master’s degrees are acceptable with corresponding years of experience.

Qualifications

General Summary

Enable security Mitigation features and develop tools to detect vulnerabilities.

Experience: 6+ Years

Mandatory Expertise

• AOSP (Android OS) Experience
  • Familiarity with the Android software stack (HAL, Framework, Treble) and Android Security Bulletins (ASB).
• SE Linux in AOSP
• Linux Kernel Internals Experience
• C/C++ Embedded programming Experience
• Linux kernel programming, Android development experience

Good To Have

• Knowledge of ARMv8/ARMv9 security extensions (e.g., PAN - Privileged Access Never, PAC - Pointer Authentication Codes, BTI - Branch Target Identification)
• fuzzing tools like Syzkaller, Trinity, or AFL to identify vulnerabilities in kernel drivers.
• Proficiency in Python or Bash for developing automation tools
• Arm or Intel Architecture knowledge required

Preferred Skills

Java programming language Linux Security knowledge, SElinux, fuzzing tools knowledge, Openwrt platform knowledge and Device Driver knowledge preferred skill set.
