Job summary

Amex GBT in Bengaluru, India, is seeking a Senior Enterprise Architect to design and implement large-scale distributed systems and microservices in enterprise environments. The role requires leadership of full-stack development across Java, Node.js, and React.js, and deep experience with cloud-native software design.

You will mentor engineering teams, drive DevOps initiatives, and ensure security, performance, and architectural integrity across enterprise applications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
• Experience in enterprise-scale software design and development
• Proficiency with Java, Node.js, React.js and REST APIs
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Docker and CI/CD pipelines
• Knowledge of authentication protocols (SAML/OIDC) and Okta integration

What You’ll Do:

• Design and implement large-scale, distributed systems and microservices architectures at enterprise scale
• Lead full-stack development initiatives across multiple technology platforms and application tiers
• Mentor and guide engineering teams on best practices, design patterns, and technical excellence
• Drive cloud-native and DevOps initiatives to enhance system scalability, reliability, and performance
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions
• Establish and maintain code quality standards, testing frameworks, and development best practices
• Contribute to architectural decisions and technology strategy for enterprise applications
• Ensure security, compliance, and performance optimization across all systems
• Build highly scalable, cloud-native microservices applications with proven track records

What We’re Looking For:

• 12+ years of proven experience in architecture, design, and development of enterprise-scale software systems
• Hands‑on full‑stack development expertise across Java, Node.js, React.js, and REST API development
• Demonstrated ability to design and implement large‑scale, distributed systems and microservices architectures
• Expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), Kubernetes, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines
• Advanced knowledge of authentication protocols (SAML/OIDC) and Okta integration
• Proficiency with NoSQL (MongoDB, Cassandra, Redis) and relational databases (PostgreSQL, SQL Server)
• Excellent communication and organizational skills with strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities
• Comprehensive experience with entire software development lifecycle (Agile, SDLC, Iterative)
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience with relevant certifications (AWS, Azure, Kubernetes)
• Strong commitment to code quality, testing, maintainable software, and ability to adapt to changing priorities
