• Role Description / Summary

We are looking for a Senior Java Developer to develop, maintain and support the R Systems “Telco-in-a-Box” (TIAB) platform, a carrier-grade convergent charging and service-orchestration solution deployed for a major telecom operator. TIAB combines the OpenCloud Rhino (JAIN SLEE) telecom application server with a SAP Convergent Charging (SAP CC) real-time charging engine and a set of surrounding components (Diameter Signaling Platform, PowerMedia XMS/IVR, EAI, CRM, VMS, BI and monitoring). The successful candidate will provide Level 2 / Level 3 support under the Technical Support Agreement (TSA), resolve defects, implement change requests and enhancements, and act as a technical reference within a distributed delivery team across Romania, India and Malaysia.

Technical Environment (TIAB Platform)

The candidate will work across the following TIAB components and third-party technologies:

• OpenCloud Rhino – JAIN SLEE telecom application server.
• SAP Convergent Charging (SAP CC) – real-time convergent charging / rating engine
• Dialogic PowerMedia XMS – media server hosting the IVR
• SIP Call Control, IVR and BSS for Account-Based Services Platform (prepaid call control, subscriber-based).
• EAI (enterprise integration layer), CRM, VMS (Voucher Management), Web Self Care.
• BI / Jasper Report Server, NMS Zabbix, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Oracle.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and support Java-based telecom applications on the OpenCloud Rhino JAIN SLEE (JSLEE) application server.
• Configure, troubleshoot and enhance the SAP Convergent Charging (SAP CC) real-time charging / rating engine, including master data (charging plans, subscriber accounts) and integration with CRM, EAI and Oracle.
• Implement and maintain service logic and resource adaptors across SIP, Diameter, SS7/IN (CAPv2/MAP) and HTTP/REST/SOAP interfaces (e.g., IMS integration, routing configuration).
• Provide Level 2 / Level 3 support under the TSA – handle JIRA-based ticket escalations, meet SLA response times, and support 24x7 and special-event coverage (including oncall).
• Deliver change requests and enhancements, including MOP documentation and maintenance-window execution.
• Perform defect resolution, code reviews, integration testing and production deployments in Testbed and PROD environments via secured VPN access.
• Collaborate on solution design and technical documentation, and act as a technical point of contact for the customer and the distributed delivery team.

Mandatory Technical Skills

• Experience operating in production support (L2/L3), MOP execution and maintenance windows.

Nice-to-Have / Desirable Skills

• Experience with Dialogic PowerMedia XMS, WebRTC or IVR platforms.
• EAI / integration layers, CRM (vTiger / PHP) and BI / Jasper reporting.
• Monitoring with Zabbix; automation/deployment with Chef or Ansible.
