Job summary

DXC Technology in India seeks a Senior Java Tech Lead to guide delivery of Java-based microservices across on-prem and cloud, owning REST API design, performance, and reliability in a hybrid work setup.

You will act as the platform-wide leader for Java engineering, set standards, coach engineers, and independently handle complex tasks in React, DevSecOps, and Test Automation, using AI tools to extend breadth.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of IT experience with Java stack.
• Strong Java fundamentals (Java 17+ desirable) and Spring Boot microservices.
• Experience with SQL, Kafka, Docker, Kubernetes, and REST APIs.
• Experience with on-prem and cloud delivery; AWS and Terraform are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and build Spring Boot microservices; own REST API design, performance, and reliability.
• Act as the platform-wide technical leader for Java engineering — set standards, review designs, and coach engineers across teams.

Senior Java Tech Lead

Job Location: Bangalore/Chennai/Gurugram

Work Mode: Hybrid

Years of experience: 12 Year

A full-stack engineer with expert, delivery-owning depth in Java, who acts as a technical leader across the platform. Supports the team by independently handling small- to medium-complexity work in three secondary areas — React front-end, DevSecOps, and Test Automation — using AI/Agentic AI tools to extend breadth without needing deep specialisation in each.

M-Shaped Profile

• Primary (expert depth, end-to-end delivery ownership):Java.
• Secondary (independent on small–medium complexity, AI/Agentic-assisted):React front-end, DevSecOps, Test Automation.

Key Responsibilities

• Java (primary):Design and build Spring Boot microservices integrating with databases, message brokers, and APIs; own REST API design, performance, and reliability; deliver scalable services across on-prem and cloud.
• Act as the platform-wide technical leader for Java engineering — set standards, review designs, and coach engineers across teams.

Skills & Experience

• Java (expert):Strong Java fundamentals (Java 17+ desirable) and Spring Boot microservices; SQL and persistence (JPA/Hibernate); Kafka and containers (Docker, Kubernetes); REST API design and messaging; performance tuning; TDD; on-prem and cloud delivery. Good-to-have: AWS, Terraform.
