Senior IT Operations and Transformation Specialist

At Kyndryl, we design, build, manage and modernize the mission-critical technology systems that the world depends on every day. This is a project-based role where you will be involved from early solutions design through execution, working with Architects, Technicians, and PMs. You will analyze problems and tech issues, offer solutions, test, modify, automate, and integrate systems, and contribute to long-range strategic planning of IT infrastructure and operational execution. This role is not limited to one platform, so you should have a broad feel for multiple technologies and enjoy variety and growth at Kyndryl.

Youll be involved early to offer solutions, help decide whether something can be done, and identify technical and timeline risks up front. You will balance client expectations with internal challenges, with opportunities to make a difference and be recognized for your contributions. A frequent sign of success is when clients come back and ask for the same person by name.

This is a hands-on, project-based role with deep involvement throughout the lifespan of a project and opportunities to work closely with Architects, Technicians, and PMs. Regardless of your current level of tech savvy or career goals, you will find opportunities and support for growth.

Required Technical and Professional Experience

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in IT Operations, AIOps, and Automation roles.
• AIOps leadership: presenting and demonstrating AIOps and automation solutions to customers and defining prerequisites.
• Collaborate with the global team and align with Kyndryl Global strategy.
• Drive technical onboarding and issue resolution.
• Drive deployment, usage, and adoption of AIOps to enable proactive issue resolution, predictive analytics, and operational intelligence.
• Drive innovation in IT operations using advanced AIOps tools.
• Automation expertise: work with account teams and customers to maximize automation deployment.
• Transformation delivery: lead IT operations and delivery transformation initiatives for enterprise customers.
• Present and demonstrate advanced IT transformation strategies to BFSI clients.
• SRE practices: apply SRE principles to drive operational excellence and reliability.
• Implement continuous improvement processes.
• Regulatory compliance: aware of industry standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., RBI, DPDP, GDPR) and other mandates.
• Work closely with InfoSec to align IT operations with security standards.
• Stakeholder engagement: collaborate with cross-functional teams and act as a trusted advisor to BFSI customers.
• Communicate technical concepts effectively to diverse stakeholders, including senior executives.

Preferred Technical and Professional Experience

• Advanced knowledge of AIOps platforms (e.g., ELK, Moogsoft, Netcool, Dynatrace, Kyndryl Bridge, or others).
• Hands-on experience with Ansible automation, scripting (Python, Shell), and orchestration tools.
• Deep understanding of IT operations, including incident, problem, and change management.
• Experience implementing SRE practices in complex environments.
• Familiarity with IT security standards and regulations such as RBI, DPDP, GDPR, etc.
• Strong presentation and demonstration skills, with the ability to lead discussions with BFSI clients.
• Certifications in relevant technologies (e.g., Ansible, Kubernetes, ITIL, SRE Foundation).
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) and hybrid infrastructure.
• Familiarity with other automation tools and frameworks.
• Proactive, innovative, and detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
