Blink Health is seeking a Senior IT Applications Engineer to manage and optimize our IT applications, including Okta, Google Workspace, Slack, Jira, and Zoom, across the organization.

You will own onboarding/offboarding, IAM/RBAC, and device trust integration with MDM considerations, collaborating with engineering and security to ensure compliant, reliable workflows.

Responsibilities

• IT Applications Management: Administer and optimize core IT applications including Okta, Slack, Google Workspace, Atlassian Suite, and Zoom.
• Integration and Automation: Implement and maintain integrations, automations, and workflows across IT applications with Okta SSO and SCIM.
• Onboarding and Offboarding: Support automated onboarding and offboarding processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
• Identity and Access Management: Manage IAM and RBAC across IT applications.
• MDM Familiarity: Understand device certificates and Okta Verify device trust for conditional access; day-to-day MDM handled by another team.

• Best Practices and Standards: Apply industry-standard ITAM and security practices.
• Support and Incident Response: Provide Tier 2/3 support to IT Helpdesk and resolve complex issues.
• Service Desk Enablement: Train service desk staff and participate in regular sessions.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Work with engineering, product, and business teams to deliver technical solutions.
• Project Participation: Contribute technical expertise to IT projects.

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior IT Applications Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing and optimizing our IT applications, ensuring seamless integration, automation, and workflow improvements. This role requires expertise in various IT applications, identity and access management, and the ability to support cross-functional teams with technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• IT Applications Management: Administer and optimize core IT applications including Okta, Slack, Google Workspace, Atlassian Suite, and Zoom. Expected to identify and flag gaps or issues proactively rather than waiting to be told.

• Integration and Automation: Implement and maintain integrations, automations, and workflows across IT applications. Deep experience with Okta SSO and SCIM is required. Expected to execute on these confidently with minimal oversight.

• Onboarding and Offboarding: Support and improve automated onboarding and offboarding processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Able to troubleshoot and resolve issues independently.

• Identity and Access Management: Manage identity and access across IT applications, including role-based access control (RBAC). Able to handle routine access decisions independently and know when to elevate.

• MDM Familiarity: Working knowledge of how MDM tooling intersects with identity and access - specifically how device certificates are deployed to endpoints and how Okta Verify uses device trust to enforce conditional access policies. Day-to-day MDM administration is handled by a separate team; this role requires enough understanding to troubleshoot and support the Okta integration confidently.

• Security and Compliance: Conduct periodic user and admin access reviews and participate in HIPAA and PCI audits. Partner with the Infosec team to secure IT applications, remediate vulnerabilities, and respond to incidents.

• Best Practices and Standards: Apply industry-standard best practices for IT application management and security. Familiar enough with the landscape to implement without needing guidance on the basics.

• Support and Incident Response: Provide Tier 2/3 support to the IT Helpdesk and resolve complex issues independently. Able to see incidents through from identification to resolution without hand-holding.

• Service Desk Enablement: Support the training of service desk members who assist with lower-level tickets in our domain, including participating in regular training sessions to answer questions and walk through processes and tooling.

• Cross-functional Collaboration: Work with engineering, product, and business teams to understand their needs and deliver technical solutions. Able to translate requests into actionable work without a lot of back-and-forth.

• Project Participation: Contribute technical expertise to IT projects and initiatives, executing reliably on assigned scope.

• Documentation: Create and maintain accurate documentation for IT processes and procedures.

• Stakeholder Communication: Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization, keeping the right people informed as work progresses.

Qualifications

• Experience: 8+ years of hands-on experience in administering IT applications.
• Technical Skills: Expertise in Okta, Intune, JAMF, Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Jira, Confluence, Zoom, and AzureAD.
• Certifications: Industry certifications for various tools are a plus.
• IAM and RBAC: Strong experience in Identity and Access Management and Role-Based Access Control. Experience in SSO, SCIM, SAML, and OIDC
• Comfortable consuming REST APIs and LDAP for various applications.
• Security and Compliance: Knowledge of compliance frameworks and audits is a plus
• Automation and Integration: Proven experience in automating processes and integrating IT applications. Scripting experience is a plus.
• Support Skills: Ability to provide Tier 2/3 support and respond to incidents effectively.
• Communication: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
