Job summary

ISA in Maharashtra, India seeks a Senior iOS Engineer to design, develop, and maintain secure, scalable iOS applications. You will work as a senior contributor within the iOS squad, contributing to architecture and engineering standards.

You will mentor junior engineers, translate product requirements into technical tasks, collaborate with product, design, backend, QA, and drive timely delivery while ensuring performance, security, and quality across releases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• Fluent in English Language and able to communicate effectively with stakeholders.
• Proven experience in mobile application architecture, including MVVM and Clean Architecture patterns.
• Strong understanding of API design principles and implementation of effective testing strategies.

Job Purpose

Responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining secure, scalable, and high-performing iOS applications that support the organization's digital products and business objectives. Operates as a senior individual contributor within the iOS squad, delivering complex technical work independently, contributing to architectural discussions, supporting the iOS Tech Lead in upholding engineering standards, and mentoring less experienced iOS engineers throughout the software development lifecycle.

Key Result Responsibilities

• Design, develop, enhance, and maintain secure, scalable, and high-performing iOS mobile applications as a senior individual contributor within the squad.
• Contribute to and actively uphold the technical architecture, coding standards, development frameworks, and engineering best practices defined by the iOS Tech Lead.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to Software Engineers and Associate Software Engineers within the squad, conduct peer code reviews, and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
• Translate product and business requirements into effective technical solutions, application designs, and sprint-ready development tasks with clear estimates and acceptance criteria.
• Collaborate closely with product management, UI/UX design, backend engineering, quality assurance, and other stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Participate in technical estimation, sprint planning, solution design, task prioritization, and technical decision-making to support timely and successful delivery.

Key Result Responsibilities-Continued

• Ensure application code is maintainable, reusable, testable, and compliant with established quality, security, privacy, and performance standards.
• Identify and resolve complex technical issues, application defects, performance bottlenecks, and production incidents.
• Oversee application build, testing, deployment, version control, and App Store release processes, ensuring stable and controlled releases.
• Evaluate emerging iOS technologies, development tools, frameworks, and industry trends, recommending improvements that enhance application quality and development efficiency.
• Develop and maintain unit tests, technical documentation, application specifications, and supporting development records.
• Ensure iOS applications integrate effectively with backend systems, APIs, third-party services, analytics platforms, and other enterprise applications.

Qualifications (Academic, Training, Languages)

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• Fluent in English Language
• Proven experience in mobile application architecture, including MVVM and Clean Architecture patterns.
• Strong understanding of API design principles and implementation of effective testing strategies.
• Awareness of cross-platform mobile development approaches and technologies.
• Strong knowledge of mobile application performance optimization and security practices at scale.
• Strong proficiency in SwiftUI, UIKit, and modern concurrency approaches.
• Proficient in MS Office.

Work Experience

• 6 to 8 years of experience in mobile engineering with strong iOS and Swift expertise.
• Travel, airline, or e-commerce app experience is preferred.
• Proven experience in mobile application architecture, including MVVM and Clean Architecture patterns.
• Experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) processes and mobile release management.
• Proven experience in technical leadership, team mentoring, and establishing engineering standards.
• Experience in travel, airline, or e-commerce mobile applications is preferred.
• Experience with App Store optimization and mobile application publishing processes.
