Job summary

Volga Infotech is seeking a Senior iOS developer to work with an onsite team in the US to design and deliver native iOS applications. The role requires coordinating with the client for functional requirements and delivering milestones in an Agile development process in Mumbai.

Candidate should have 3+ years of experience, strong knowledge of iOS platform specifics, and hands-on experience with networking, multithreading, and memory management to ensure high-quality releases.

Qualifications

• Experience developing native iOS apps on iOS 5.0–7.0 using native libraries.
• Strong understanding of UI components and view controller lifecycle.
• Familiarity with memory management, ARC, and threading concepts.

The candidate would be working with the onsite team ( in the US ) to develop applications in Objective on the iOS platform He / she would be directly co-ordinating with the client to get the functional requirements He/ She would be working in an Agile methodology of software development He / She would be responsible for timely delivery of deliverables and making sure all milestones are met as per expectations

• Proven experience developing native iOS applications for iOS 5.0 - 7.0 using native libraries
• Experience with device technologies such as accelerometer, phone, mapkit,storekit, et al desired
• Very good understanding of UIView/UIViewController usage including complex animations
• Must understand and have programmed network operations in a mobile environment
• Good understanding of memory management for iOS including reference counting, ARC and auto-generated properties
• Must be familiar with GCD (grand central dispatch), background threads, UI operations involving multiple threads and synchronization primitives in objective-c
• Previous code should demonstrate proper delineation of responsibilities between classes including model, view and controller
• Excellent communication and client facing skills
