Job description

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Interior Designer Cum Project Manager to lead and coordinate interior design projects. This role involves managing the conceptualization, development, and delivery of innovative design solutions. This role also involves project execution onsite by managing resources, timelines, and budgets to ensure client satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the interior design process, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.

Job Responsibilities
  • Lead the conceptualization of interior design projects, ensuring creative and innovative solutions
  • Develop detailed design plans, including layouts, mood boards, material selection, and colour schemes
  • Review and refine designs to align with client requirements and feedback
  • Create accurate drawings, 3D models, and detailed specifications using design software (AutoCAD, SketchUp, etc.)
  • Stay updated on the latest design trends, materials, and technologies
  • Project execution along with management of contractors, suppliers and designers
  • Site inspections and measurements with the client/design team
  • Support presales activities such as meetings with potential clients, initial site visits, preparation of BOQs/quotations
  • Client coordination – work as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle
  • Material quality control, material inventory management and optimization
  • Procurement management – cost optimization, verification of supplier/contractor bills/invoices
  • Project scope includes all kinds of works such as civil, carpentry, electrical, pop, modular, painting, finishing works, etc.
  • Project plan preparation, tracking, progress reporting (daily, weekly, monthly) to SKD management and client as per requirement
  • Management of planned vs actual tracking and reporting of project scope, cost, resources and timelines
  • Collaboration with other relevant teams (internal/external) and resolve conflicts or challenges efficiently
  • Ensure excellent finishing and successful site handover to the client
  • Ensure all design and execution meet company standards and client expectations
  • Risk management with mitigations

Qualifications / Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Project Management, or related field
  • Overall experience – Minimum 10 years, of which relevant experience of 5+ years in interior design and project management in the interior design industry
  • Project Management certification like Prince2 or PMP preferred
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software
  • Proficiency in design software (AutoCAD, SketchUp, or similar tools)
  • Strong knowledge of materials, finishes, furniture, and accessories
  • Strong understanding of interior design processes, materials, and construction methods
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively
