Job summary

Quest Global is seeking a chemical/metallurgical engineer to apply corrosion and material integrity principles across upstream and downstream operations in Bengaluru. The role emphasizes health monitoring, incident analysis, and dashboard development to support reliable plant performance.

Ideal candidates hold BE/BTech in Chemical, Petrochemical, or Metallurgical engineering, with strong English communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with materials and damage/corrosion mechanisms per API/NACE/ASME.
• Experience with analysis of operating parameters and inspection reports.
• Knowledge of corrosion management and health monitoring approaches.

Responsibilities

• Applies engineering principles in Mechanical, Materials or Metallurgical domains.
• Analyzes operating parameters, PFDs, PIDs, sampling and inspection reports.
• Identifies damage mechanisms and corrosion loops.
• Develops and implements health management dashboards.
• Monitors integrity parameters to ensure reliable operations across Upstream/Midstream/Downstream.
• Troubleshoots and conducts root cause analysis at meetings.
• Familiar with code applicability and material selection criteria.
• Knowledge of CR, RBI and related processes.

Qualification

Qualification: BE/ B Tech Chemical/ Petro Chemical Engineering/ Metallurgical Engineering

Key Responsibilities

• Applies engineering principles in Mechanical, Materials or Metallurgical engineering discipline.
• Analysis of operating parameters, PFDs, PIDs, sampling and inspection reports.
• Capable of identifying damage mechanisms and corrosion loops.
• Develop and implement IOW/EROE health management dashboard.
• Monitoring and surveillance of integrity parameters to ensure reliable operations in Upstream/Midstream/Downstream.
• Troubleshooting, root cause analysis and addressing of the same at Chemical Management Team meetings and at Stewardship.
• Should be conversant with code applicability and material selection criteria.
• Knowledge on CR, RL, FFS & RBI

Work Experience

• Familiarity with materials and damage/ corrosion mechanism with Industrial standard - API, NACE, ASME
• Good to have certification of qualification API 571, 580, NACE CP/CIP/ Corrosion Technologist
• Demonstrated organizational, coordination, planning, interface and technical judgment skills.
• Ability to adapt to tight deadlines, heavy workloads, and frequent changes in priorities.
• Good leadership, influencing, and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to read, write, and speak English
