Job summary

Mastercard is seeking a Senior Information Security Engineer to join the Business Security Enablement Guild. You will perform third-party software security evaluations, consult with development and operations teams, and design secure systems across the software lifecycle, leveraging AI to drive efficiencies.

You will engage in strategic security initiatives, address complexity, and communicate security risks to diverse audiences while ensuring compliance with security policies.

Qualifications

• Proven knowledge of information security, risk management, and data privacy within digital commerce.
• Understanding of identity management, user authentication, and authorization principles.
• Broad awareness of security engineering concepts and practices across all phases of the software development lifecycle.
• Experience designing secure multi-domain Internet-facing applications and advising on web-based/network security and secure communications.
• Ability to communicate security and risk issues to technical and non-technical stakeholders and recommend alternative solutions.
• Moderate hands-on experience in scripting or Vibe coding.
• Basic knowledge and experience in cryptography (encryption, hashing, key management, digital certificates, TLS).
• Technical experience with Java or a similar enterprise programming language is a plus.
• Experience with mobile security architecture, Android and iOS, is a plus.
• Working knowledge and technical security experience with Linux is a plus.
